Ordered a large variety of food and it was very average. The Miso soup came in a large bowl very watered down. Instead of tofu, it had pieces of avocado which was strange.

However what was truly disappointing was the service, it was absolutely terrible. It was very rushed and they weren’t very attentive. What was most disgraceful was being gaslit by the manager/chef. We ordered the “mixed” tempura with our soba but we were only served vegetable tempura. When we brought this up to the waiter the manager came over saying that we were given a shrimp tempura and must have eaten it. Despite explaining that it was never served they were extremely persistent going back and forth. What was most shocking was that all the difference between the “mixed tempura” vs the “vegetable tempura” was a single shrimp, this made their attacking all the more absurd. Although eventually apologising and offering Sake on the house (which we declined), on the bill they still included the “mixed” tempura and once again attempted to insist that we had eaten the shrimp. The whole thing was very disrespectful and took up a great amount of our evening.

No wonder they don’t have wifi at this place so you can’t immediately leave a...

TLDR: the food is just ok, the service is terrible. Not the same as old Koji's. Ive been going to Kojis since they were in Hermosa and have watched the transition from boutique sushi restaurant to mass produced sushi factory. The food is generally decent but the service Saturday night was ridiculous. Our waitress came by, took our orders and disappeared. Some food came out that we didn't order and the food we did never came even though we asked 4 different waiters. Our waitress came back, took our orders again, and never brought the drinks or the food. When we complained she said there were only 5 waiters. Then she proceeded to drink wine with her friends at the table next door. When the bill came we insisted on not paying for the food that never came and wanted them to not charge us for the sushi roll that came out 2 hours after we ordered. The waitress was very upset, claimed we were trying to get free stuff from them, and at no point apologized for the terrible service. Sad to say but I'll...

I grew up in Malibu, California and have eaten sushi literally my entire life, and incredible sushi at that. I have also been to Japan. I have never in my whole life had Sushi this good, this fresh, this delicious. We came here for my birthday, and it was so good we needed to have it one more time before flying home. So we came here for our very last night, and I can’t wait to come back to Costa Rica to have this sushi again. The service is incredible, the staff is so sweet and kind. And the ambience is magical. We started with the red snapper carpaccio, which was to die for. Also, the tuna tartare. We had the Koji roll, the Hawaiian roll, the Hermosa roll, and the Tataki roll. My favorites were the Hermosa and the Hawaiian. My husband’s favorite was the Koji. But you literally cannot go wrong. We also brought my two-year-old daughter, and she absolutely loved it, the staff were so so kind to her. This restaurant is a must if you are visiting Santa Teresa. I cannot wait to...

Imparate a lavorare e rispettate i clienti!!
