If you're in Cahuita for any length of time make sure you visit this incredible restaurant. Family run and tended with loving care, it's an absolute joy to dine at. First things first; The Food. The most important aspect of any restaurant. I can safely say that every single meal we had there was completely delicious. Having had the lomito in salsa limonense the first time we went and falling in love with it I ate it many times over multiple visits. Without exaggeration it's may be the best meat dish I've ever had. Anywhere. However the tuna steak is also stunning, as were all the other dishes we tried. Secondly; Service. As I mentioned it's run by a delightful family who do their utmost to make sure you're looked after and made to feel like a friend. We were warmly greeted every time we went, served promptly, and allowed to simply enjoy our meal, relax and take our time. The young boys helping dad out on the restaurant floor are extremely polite and courteous and dad himself is charming and very genial. Dani the waiter is a giggle too and very attentive. Thirdly; atmosphere. We loved it. It's laid back, it's warm, it's intimate, it felt like we had been dining there for years. The lighting is soft, the music is tasteful and not too loud and we just felt really comfortable.

El Rincon Del Amor is by far the best restaurant in Cahuita and it shows....often times it's absolutely packed so make sure you book a table before you go. If you just rock up on the off chance you may have a little wait until you're seated but it's totally worth it. Take a seat on the comfy chairs outside, order a beer, a glass of wine or a cocktail, chill out and soak up the...

Update: The person who ate the red snapper got food poisoning and had diarrhea all night. She didn't go on the trip to Panama and lost $250 deposit.

That's why, although I usually stick to the "write well or don't write at all" rule, I wanted to point out this situation. Be aware - we are one-time customers who will probably never return to these places... in this situation, the level of responsibility decreases and they don't care. ... I am very disappointed. We chose this place because it was in the top 10 Tripadviser restaurant in Cahuita. The place is charming and atmospheric, but the service at 18.30 hrs was incompetent. Four of us sat down and placed our order (2 x lobster and 2 x beef tenderloin). We were eventually informed that there was no meat left. Instead of the tenderloin we were suggested to order a tuna fillet in "limonese" sauce and a red snapper. The taste of the tuna was unnoticeable, the sauce heavy and overwhelming and the "limonese" not obvious. The red snapper was definitely not fresh as promised and did not come easly off the bone. But at least the two who ordered the lobster were happy, even though they were not offered tools to open the lobster legs and feelers, so they had to give up on some of the meat. The taste was however good. ... As compensation, we were given a tot of lovely local rum. We asked for a 2nd helping and were not...

What a heartwarming experience at this family-run Caribbean treasure in Cahuita, Costa Rica! This hidden gem deserves nothing less than 5 stars in every category - food, service, and atmosphere.

From the moment you step in, you can feel the love and dedication that the family puts into this restaurant. Yerlin, the talented chef and mother, whips up dishes that are nothing short of culinary masterpieces. Javier and their three wonderful children, who attend school during the day and assist in the restaurant afterward, provide some of the warmest service you'll ever encounter.

During my vacation, I couldn't resist dining here every single day. Each visit was a new adventure, as I was determined to savor every delicious dish on the menu. While everything was outstanding, the Tuna Steak truly stole my heart. Knowing it was locally caught made it even more special, aligning with my ethical values.

Here's an extra tidbit that adds to this restaurant's charm: the current President of Costa Rica himself dined here during his recent visit to the area. It speaks volumes about the quality and authenticity of this place.

In essence, dining at this restaurant is like visiting family. It's a heartwarming experience that I'll treasure, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking an authentic taste of the Caribbean in Cahuita. You won't be...

Best meal we've had in Costa Rica to date. If you go to Cahuita you must dine here if you want real, delicious food that isn't a burger or a pizza. The service is spectacular. I had the chicken with coconut sauce and rice (soooo good!!) and my companion dined on the shrimp special also with a coconut sauce and rice. Our meal was kicked off with a tasty and fresh house appetizer of bruschetta which we enjoyed with a couple glasses of red wine as we're waited for our meals. The wait was not long. The service was so caring and friendly- they really went out of their way to make you feel so welcome and that just added to the overall enjoyment of our time here. Had we discovered it sooner we would have eaten there multiple times but I'm glad we at least discovered it in time to visit before or trip ended. We didn't leave room for dessert but they gifted us with a lovely fruit apertif of rum blended with (I think) fresh mango, orange, coconut and pineapple. Definitely would come back again. Stop looking for other options, you really do want to eat here! 😊

While traveling with my Spanish tutor, I found reviews of this place. On another site and suggested we try it. Nice place family run restaurant. Super service, excellent food at reasonable prices and didn't over charge for a bottle of wine to accompany our dinner. Menu offered more than just seafood but that's what we went for. Myself and my companion shared the meal. We started with guacamole with platano chips that were hot, fresh and delicious. Then perfectly cooked al dente pasta con mariscos in white sauce (spaghetti with mixed seafood in a white cream sauce), in addition to a whole lobster in garlic butter. We asked for fries as our side with extra instead of salad. They still gave us a small fresh salad on the side. We know the garlic was fresh because it left no lingering after taste. Perhaps we should have asked for bread to slop up the sauces. Will definately go back.
