If you're in Cahuita for any length of time make sure you visit this incredible restaurant. Family run and tended with loving care, it's an absolute joy to dine at. First things first; The Food. The most important aspect of any restaurant. I can safely say that every single meal we had there was completely delicious. Having had the lomito in salsa limonense the first time we went and falling in love with it I ate it many times over multiple visits. Without exaggeration it's may be the best meat dish I've ever had. Anywhere. However the tuna steak is also stunning, as were all the other dishes we tried. Secondly; Service. As I mentioned it's run by a delightful family who do their utmost to make sure you're looked after and made to feel like a friend. We were warmly greeted every time we went, served promptly, and allowed to simply enjoy our meal, relax and take our time. The young boys helping dad out on the restaurant floor are extremely polite and courteous and dad himself is charming and very genial. Dani the waiter is a giggle too and very attentive. Thirdly; atmosphere. We loved it. It's laid back, it's warm, it's intimate, it felt like we had been dining there for years. The lighting is soft, the music is tasteful and not too loud and we just felt really comfortable.
El Rincon Del Amor is by far the best restaurant in Cahuita and it shows....often times it's absolutely packed so make sure you book a table before you go. If you just rock up on the off chance you may have a little wait until you're seated but it's totally worth it. Take a seat on the comfy chairs outside, order a beer, a glass of wine or a cocktail, chill out and soak up the...

That's why, although I usually stick to the "write well or don't write at all" rule, I wanted to point out this situation. Be aware - we are one-time customers who will probably never return to these places... in this situation, the level of responsibility decreases and they don't care. ... I am very disappointed. We chose this place because it was in the top 10 Tripadviser restaurant in Cahuita. The place is charming and atmospheric, but the service at 18.30 hrs was incompetent. Four of us sat down and placed our order (2 x lobster and 2 x beef tenderloin). We were eventually informed that there was no meat left. Instead of the tenderloin we were suggested to order a tuna fillet in "limonese" sauce and a red snapper. The taste of the tuna was unnoticeable, the sauce heavy and overwhelming and the "limonese" not obvious. The red snapper was definitely not fresh as promised and did not come easly off the bone. But at least the two who ordered the lobster were happy, even though they were not offered tools to open the lobster legs and feelers, so they had to give up on some of the meat. The taste was however good. ... As compensation, we were given a tot of lovely local rum. We asked for a 2nd helping and were not...

From the moment you step in, you can feel the love and dedication that the family puts into this restaurant. Yerlin, the talented chef and mother, whips up dishes that are nothing short of culinary masterpieces. Javier and their three wonderful children, who attend school during the day and assist in the restaurant afterward, provide some of the warmest service you'll ever encounter.
During my vacation, I couldn't resist dining here every single day. Each visit was a new adventure, as I was determined to savor every delicious dish on the menu. While everything was outstanding, the Tuna Steak truly stole my heart. Knowing it was locally caught made it even more special, aligning with my ethical values.
Here's an extra tidbit that adds to this restaurant's charm: the current President of Costa Rica himself dined here during his recent visit to the area. It speaks volumes about the quality and authenticity of this place.
In essence, dining at this restaurant is like visiting family. It's a heartwarming experience that I'll treasure, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking an authentic taste of the Caribbean in Cahuita. You won't be...
