Stopped by for breakfast. Nice spot, simple good food. Wait staff were friendly and attentive. Menu is in English and Spanish. No sugar free pop. Seating was well spaced and comfortable I will return.

UPDATE:

So I returned for dinner on a different day. I tried to order a sugar free drink. No sugar free pop. The "naturales" all have sugar, and they only have tamarindo. I ordered chicken Fajitas. What came was a plate with chicken in sauce, rice and beans and salad. Disappointed at their definition of fajita but meh, lets try it. The sauce was nice. Good flavor chunks of onion and peppers (i think). The chicken was cold and dry. Obviously it had been cooked hours earlier. Its not that it was dry chicken. That happens enough that it is remarkable when its not dry. The problem here is how dry. We are talking jerky dry. Shoe leather dry. Saw at it repeatedly dry. In the history of dry chicken this was up there with the greats. Someone was cooking chicken in pompeii when it was covered in lava. This was that kind of dry.

I only ate a small part of my meal. I will not be back.

To the owners, please change the name of the dish that you call fajitas. Or do a Google image (or recipe) search for fajitas. Giving your customers something so radically different from what they expect will cause...

Nice clean comfortable place for reasonably price breakfasts and more traditional Costa Rican food with a Caribbean influence. Has a large counter space for individuals to eat at and a large nicely shaded open air seating area for groups. Atmosphere is definitely casual. Great place for families on a budget to eat at. Service was relatively fast considering it was the lunch hour. I went vegetarian and had the eggs and tomatoes with rice and beans. Which was a little bland but fine for my recovering stomach. Price was around 2600 colonies or about 5 US. Dollars Meal prices start at around 2000 colones / 4 US Dollars and up Menu offers a wide selection of lunch and dinner dishes with various meats chicken beef etc... This is not a vegetarian Resturant but does have some vegetation dishes. I didn't notice any vegan offerings on the menu. Rice and beans were quite good although. Resturant is conveniently located near the center of Cahuita, I didn't notice the business hours, but this definitely seemed like a breakfast, lunch and early dinner sort of Resturant. I will definitely eat here...

Great food but waitress with braces ruined the experience.

I've been serving myself for years but that waitress was a perfect course of what you shouldn't do. Condescendant, arrogant, made mistake on everything possible and blaming us. Didn't bring the drinks and not doing (on purpose I guess) what we asked. Running everywhere around in a nonchalant manner with empty hands (making look the restaurant in a mess). Our table was still dirty when we arrived. I know that there some hard day but just look like that girl hate her job and blame it on the costumer.

The restaurant lost 4 costumers who came and sit but then just left because she ignored them for too long (like she did with us).

Fortunately the other waitress was adorable and tried to repair the mistake of the young one and the food was excellent.

But even if the food was delicious I would never go back here if I'm being served...

The only place open at 5:30 AM. It’s got great food true authentic Caribbean fair. It’s open air seating, but it’s cool with plenty of fans and a view. If you sit in the right spot of the national park and the Caribbean Sea, it’s along the main fair right outside the gates to the national park super convenient and I’ve tried two or three other places to eat and they’re good. None better than this that I tried. Interesting fact, when I tried the eggs with sausage, I was surprised to find that the sausage tasted almost exactly like American hotdog. Personally, I recommend the bacon. Not tourist over run. Locals come here too. It’s a peaceful and pleasant place for breakfast. Maybe my favorite breakfast spot ever.

Real Food Real taste Real Experience!! So far the best food in the area, where they cook on wood stove letting the food adquire all that superb flavor. The best rice and beans ever, is a shame they only make those on weekends but i you try it you will understand!! The casados are also very nice, the frescos are fresh and delicious as well!! If I go to Puerto Viejo is a MUST STOP here to grab some real good food and continue with a belly full of joy. Love it!!!
