La Terraza Restaurant Cahuita — Restaurant in Cahuita

This place - situated between an Irish Pub and a Chinese restaurant - doesn't look like much. But the food is definitely a lot better than in many of the other places here. That is not only my opinion but that of the entire family. The pasta was great, the Jalapeño fish was so good that I ordered it a second time when we had returned to this place. The fruit smoothies are awesome and my kids loved the pancakes (super fluffy) and the crepes.

The waiter is super friendly and you can sit nicely on the terrace no matter if it's just raining or the sun is shining.

I can only recommend this fine place after having tried probably 6 or 7 different...

I can see why this place has such a great rating! This restaurant has the best potato fries in the entire world. We came here twice during our short trip. The staff is wonderful, the betidos (fruit drinks) were delicious, and my body was very grateful for such fresh food. I had the chicken curry the first day and garlic chicken the next. Both were well flavored and pleasing. The salad dressing was even amazing! I really love this restaurant and have had a hard time not calling out to people on the street to come in and eat. Seriously, some of the best food I've had in Costa Rica in a month of fervent eating. I had the chicken coconut curry and even the patacones were next level, crispy while still being light and fluffy. Everything was fresh and packed with flavor. Even the Margarita exceeded expectations, not too sweet while still very flavorful.

I honestly wish I had a second stomach so I could do it all over again right away with a different dish and drink. I will be back. Possibly later...
