Restaurante Sunrise Tortuguero — Restaurant in Colorado

It was a terrible experience. Nobody noticed that we had arrived, and we went and got the menus for ourselves. Okay - can happen, not a problem! The waitress noticed us and cleaned the table, but after 20 minutes, she still hadn't taken our order, so we went and ordered from the counter. Still not very stressed out. But then she literally forgot that we had placed the order - came to our table and asked us what we would like to drink. Then she brought us the wrong drinks - twice! She also said they don't serve tap water - but as I see now from other reviews, they do. She also asked us what our order was - also twice! We waited for food for over an hour, while there were only two other tables waiting for their orders. When we went to pay, the waitress couldn't find our order at first, and then she tried to cash in more money than she was supposed to - you just know when it is not a mistake. We're not walking money bags - if you don't want to offer proper service, then just don't open a "restaurant"! Being impolite and trying to scam your clients is just plain out rude and I'm truly sad about...

This is one of the first places that I’ve eaten at in costa rica where I’ve been served perfectly. A mix of humour and actual service is what is needed to make a restaurant good. The food portions are amazing especially for their prices. It tastes like heaven flowing in my mouth with its vibrant flavours. Lovely place to get a big pizza to share with the group. The staff was lovely and happily refilled our cups with tap water, eventually giving us a jug. The pizza seemed wood fired with the oven outside and was delicious. It has a good ambience with some cute, tropical decorations and high chairs. Recommend! Would love to go again.
