La Casona — Hotel in Colorado

David is an incredible host, canoe tour guide, photographer, and I don’t know if he is a biologist but he is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about biology and eco-conservation. La Casona has AC and a nice atmosphere but it’s definitely bit run down and I didn’t have hot water. Luckily I brought a mosquito plug-in as there were mosquitoes in the room when I got there. I give the place 5 stars because David is fantastic and the breakfast and wifi was pretty decent. It’s the rain forest so I did experience bugs, rain/thunder storms, and a power outage but luckily no flooding or the canoe tipping over. Me and my husband stayed at this hotel while doing a sea turtle excursion with Roots Tours. It was quaint, clean and safe with an AC. We saw three large iguanas just hanging around the trees in the courtyard. David, the hotel host, was very nice and knowledgeable about the area. We also ate Gorditas and Tacos at their newly opened Mexican restaurant and it was delicious! I live in California where we have amazing Mexican food and this was on par. The restaurant has a view of the ocean and the community soccer field which is fun to see the local kids playing even through flash...

Ha sido el peor hotel donde he estado. Entiendo que Tortuguero es un pueblo pequeño y no tiene las modernidades de las grandes ciudades. Pero las escaleras para subir a la habitación son muy estrechas y con escalones muy altos, dificultando mucho el poder subir maletas.

La habitación enana, sin espacio suficiente para dejar las maletas y con humedad.

En nuestro caso, se nos fue el agua y cuando volvió fue imposible regular el agua caliente. Sí que es verdad que lo arreglaron, pero bueno.

La opción de desayuno es escasa, pudiendo elegir solo entre 3 opciones.

El restaurante del hotel estaba cerrado supuestamente por temporada baja pero nos dijeron que el hotel estaba lleno.

El servició de habitaciones no hizo la cama ni cambiaron las toallas.

Nos dieron un llavero con varias llaves y supuestamente aparte de la llave de la habitación una era para poder salir y entrar por una puerta ya que la recepción cerraba por la noche. Para nuestra sorpresa, nos quedamos encerrados en el hotel cuando íbamos a cenar porque las 3 llaves que teníamos eran la misma, abrían la habitación. Tuvimos suerte y llegó un muchacho que...
