This place gets PACKED because of the great atmosphere, the amazing service, and the delicious food. This is a great restaurant for any scenario, be it a date, a family outing, or just to hang out with friends. Along with a cozy night-life that even brings live music, I can confidently say that this is a hot spot type of restaurant.
There are two parking lots: in front of the building toward the main street and a big lot towards the back. Their "guachimen" do a great job helping you because this place gets TIGHT. Parking gets to a point where customers have to settle with parking on the street just outside of the property. And to emphasize on how trendy this place is, parking will normally get to that point and the entire block will have cars for customers coming in.
That's why I suggest to get here ahead of mealtimes so you can park close and be seated quickly.
This place also has some amenities for young children, such as a small play place, sometimes hiring an amateur clown to make balloon toys and a face painter for further children's excitement. Along with a pond in the heart of the property that have live koi(?) fish.
I WILL admit, the pond could be treated better, because the water is a little dirty/murky. Perhaps the owner should invest in a fish-safe UV filter or something that clean and clear up the water, because it's a beautiful concept.
Moving on, service is great. These people work really hard to ensure everything is rocking, headsets and walkie talkies. It is possible for them to get confused with orders because they are managing a ton of customers, but know that you can always warmly mention anything that is wrong with your order and your waiter/waitress will start moving pillars and mountains to make sure that you're accommodated.
I'm impressed with the coordination of the team that works here and how quickly they move to create solutions.
If it's a warm day, you might want to sit in the middle of the yard area, under one of the tents there. I felt it the most fresh there.
Across gatherings I've been to at this place, my observation is that this restaurant is known best for their "patacones", to share with whoever you're with, and their "limonada go hierbabuena"....
Read moreI didn't really like much about the place. The food was not good at all. We tried several dishes and all of them were disappointing. The nachos had little to no cheese, almost no guacamole or tomato, and they were just a huge plate of beans with almost no chips, I could easily say the worst nachos I've ever had. The rest of the food was pretty bad, really bad quality cheese on the quesadillas, and canned mushrooms ( bad quality ), the pozole was not good, the rice wasn't fresh. I wouldn't recommend this place at all food-wise. The prices are affordable, the menu has a lot of options but only a couple vegetarian options ( we tried two of them, they were awful). The bathroom was pretty dirty and had an awful smell. The only thing we liked was that the dinning area looks nice, and the cocktails were good ( great margaritas!). There's also a big parking space. Besides from that, I would not come back to this place, and I wouldn't recommend it at all. There are a lot of other great places in the area that would be a far...
Read moreWe arrived hoping to have dinner at the place with our dog, only to find out that is not pet friendly. Which is fine, there are several other restaurants that are. However, it was late and we ended up deciding to order for take out. The waiter refused to take my order unless I went across the restaurant to order on the other side. And when I arrived to the other bar side I found out that I couldn’t wait for my order there, instead I had to go all the way back to the other patio side. And again, the worst service ever, when food was ready no waiter/waitress approach, they refused to give me the food unless I went myself to pick it at the checkout area, even though food was already paid. Additionally, The cashier named Marvin C had no kind words, made me wait over 35 minutes for this order and was rude at all times, even when I was ordering and paying. I do not recommend this place, food wasn’t even worth it. If I could I would give...
