This super cute, intimate spot was the best place I ate during my two weeks in Costa Rica, hands down. The ambiance is incredibly inviting, with a cosy charm that makes you feel instantly at home. It’s small but full of character, and the personal touches throughout the space make it feel unique and special.

The real magic, though, comes from the hostess. She was both the chef and the waitress, and I’ve never met anyone so warm, welcoming, and kind in all my travels. Her kindness radiated through every interaction, making us feel like we were not just guests, but cherished friends. She took the time to ensure everything was perfect, and her passion for the food she prepared was evident in every bite.

The food itself was absolutely amazing. Every dish was crafted with love and attention to detail, and you could taste the care that went into it. It wasn’t just a meal—it was a heartfelt experience that left me smiling long after I’d left.

My partner and I came across this quaint, lovely little restaurant completely by accident. But maybe there are no accidents, because we were meant to find it and to meet its wonderful owner. It was like being welcomed into her own home and kitchen and having our own personal chef. Everything was made from scratch. We enjoyed watching our meal being prepared, the peaceful and cheery atmosphere, and great conversation. The food was Venezualan vegan with the owner's added personal touches, and it was fantastic! We ate foods we'd never had before. Great flavors, colorful, and we liked that there were some organic ingredients. We also had fresh juice drinks which were made to order. If you go, be sure to have dessert - the yucca chocolate cake is delicious! Very fair prices for the quality and quantity. We can't say enough about imenu's food and its incredibly kind, generous owner....

This review does not do justice in describing the exquisite culinary skills of Chef Dieli along with her amazing hiking tour program. I know a thing or two about great eateries as I grew up in NYC area, but never have I had the dining experience that Dieli offers. She offers both novel and authentic Venezuelan dishes with everything organic, made from scratch, and amazingly fresh. Her hiking tour is also outstanding with breathtaking views, including a waterfall, and a spiritual element that is most nurturing. You will be well rewarded in contacting this establishment. Your taste buds & eyes will never again...
