Went to this restaurant with wife and daughter with the intention to enjoy a nice weekend lunch but we left even before being able to order. They have an office desk in the dining area with a very noisy terminal for Uber Eats or other delivery service that goes on and off constantly with a high frequency and annoyingly high volume notification signal reaching every single corner of the dining area. We asked them to lower the volume or place the device where it won’t disturb us, such as in the kitchen or cashier area, but got nonsense answers like they can’t lower the volume or can’t move the device. Therefore we asked for a table outdoors, which even with street traffic was a little bit better than being seated indoors, but the ignorant attitude of the staff looking away when addressing them was enough for my wife to ask us to leave the premises and look for a more upscale restaurant with more service minded owner and staff. We will be happy to spend our money at other Italian restaurants in Heredia. You lost a first time customer by delivering a really bad first impression. Either the owner is not present or have the same third world mentality, bad attitude and lack of common sense as the staff ignoring customers who expect a certain level of service and reasonably quiet experience being able to talk to the people sitting at the same table without insanely annoying noise. We are used to spend considerable amounts of money dining out but cannot accept being labeled complicated or demanding customers just because politely asking for silence while having lunch or dinner. You can keep your attitude and continue attracting the same level of customers as you are used to. Cannot recommend for anyone expecting just normal level of respect and service. Who knows? Food might be good. I will...
Read moreWe came and made a reservation and they sat our party of 7 at 2 different tables. This is the second time that we had problems at this restaurant which is a shame because we have been coming here for 20 years. I think we will find another restaurant to frequent. Update 10/10/22: That is kind of shameful that you would try and state the "law" when another party that came in had a table set up for them with more than 6 people. We initially sat at that table and then were told to move because it was reserved. You have to admit when you are wrong and move on. Not try and stand behind a law when you were clearly not following it to begin with. Update 11/8/22: Again I am giving you a real account of facts. Anyone who reads your comments can tell that you are just hiding behind a law and a pandemic as not to admit blame. I am glad you won't be writing or responding anymore, it just shows how your establishment is unable to stand up and admit when you are wrong. I have been going to "L'Antica Roma" the original L'Antica Roma for the past 20 years. You have lost a...
Read moreThe atmosphere was nice, but the servers seemed very rushed (maybe the restaurant needs to hire more help).
They have a small, large and gigantic sized pizza. We ordered a large, but it wasn't large at all. We felt like we needed to go home and cook something.
The pizza arrived without a serving utensil. The server asked if we wanted one. As we waited, the pizza got cold, so we decided to eat it.
Paying was as an unpleasant experience. We never received a bill and we were completely ignored by the servers...so we went to a table and paid directly to some guy who was handling the bills (kind of an unclassy system).
I really don't recommend this restaurant. After they bring the food to your table, you feel completely forgotten. In the past, there were fewer good restaurants in the area. Nowadays, there are a lot of...
