My husband and I met on the beaches of Tulum and he took me on our first ever date at the original Posada Margherita there. It was so magical. We stopped going to Tulum years ago and were gutted that we would not have another meal at one of our favorite places in the world again. Lo and behold, it’s now in Nosara where we come to see our friends a few times a year. The same menu, the same fresh ingredients, the same care, the same magic. And, of course, the same owner Alessandro. He’s a righteous dude! You can see the passion he has for his restaurant in every single detail, down to his beautiful plants! He is like a conductor during high season - explaining the menu, directing where to seat guests, making sure everyone is happy with their food…all at the same time. The food is worth every single penny. The ingredients are all of the highest quality, house made and never disappoints. Throughout the years I have tried almost everything on the menu but I always go back to Al Pomodoro Fresco. You just can’t beat the beautiful simplicity of this dish. The focaccia and pickled vegetables are a beautiful start to the meal and the gelato can’t be beat. As well as the pizzas. And the cocktails. Just go here. You won’t regret it. We have also lead yoga retreats in Nosara and Alessandro and his amazing staff were incredibly accommodating for our group dinners there. Thank you, Alessandro, for bringing this down to Nosara - now we can continue to have our beautiful meals here that bring our memories back of our first date!

Perfect pasta and pizza followed up with the creamiest gelato made my evening. The pizza crust and sauce was top notch, and the flavorful veggies, Italian sausage and cheese are perfectly balanced. My table is a mini oasis set in a garden of plants and flowers. The host and waiters are welcoming and attentive, and the food arrived quickly. My next visit I tried the salad and pasta. The caprese salad exuded juicy fresh tomatoes, incredibly tasty and generous slices of the freshest mozzarella, deliciously flavorful fresh basil, and served with rich extra virgin olive oil, and a mildly sweet and tangy balsamic reduction on the side. At the first taste of the Pasta Pomodorini you know all the ingredients are made with love on-site. The pasta was at ideal consistency, embracing the fresh tomatoes, garlic and olive oil. The chef recommends(requires) the pasta be eaten onsite, to be sure the experience for the diner can meet his high expectations.

We tried this place on the recommendation of a local business owner. We arrived early and were greeted by the owner who took us to our table and explained the menu. We ordered the marinara pizza to start with , it was excellent and don’t forget to ask for the garlic and olive oil side, it goes really nice on the pizza. The staff and manager were very attentive and helpful and pleasant. Our next dishes they brought out were the red snapper fish in a delicious lemon herb olive oil topped with fresh tomatoes, it was absolutely one of the best fish dishes I have ever had in my life. We then dive into the fresh made in house pasta, they make it per order and it was so tender. The pasta had a simple pomodoro sauce that hit the spot. We ended the meal with mango and pistachio gelato. We will definitely be going back and would recommend you giving it a try.

I recently stayed at Posada Margarita in Costa Rica with my family, and I can honestly say it was one of the best vacations we’ve ever had. From the very first moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome and cared for. Their hospitality was beyond anything I’ve experienced before. They seemed to know what we needed before we even had to ask. Every single person we met went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and happy not only me and my wife but my teenagers as well which made such a difference. It allowed us to truly relax and soak in every moment of our trip.

The hotel itself was stunning, peaceful, and beautifully designed. Our rooms were spotless and cozy, and every little detail felt thoughtful and intentional. My teenagers absolutely loved it too! Whether we were lounging by the pool, exploring nearby adventures, or simply sitting outside enjoying the view, we all felt completely at ease.

The restaurant was one of the highlights of our entire stay. Every meal felt like a piece of art, both in presentation and flavor. You could really tell that everything was made with passion and care. Dining there was such a treat every single time.

Beyond the hotel and restaurant, the adventures we experienced were amazing. From the scenery to the activities, everything was handled so smoothly that all we had to do was enjoy ourselves. It’s rare to find a place that gets everything right; service, food, comfort, and experience, but Posada Margarita truly does.

We left feeling refreshed and already dreaming of coming back next year. This place is something special, and I can’t recommend it...

As an original Posada Tulum lover, I was excited to see this location being built. I knew going in, CR does not source or distribute the same quality that Mexico can. And that still holds true as far as one the other dishes was concerned and Nosara at large…

But what the owner Alessandro and crew (that he’s nurturing along) have done here is add some must haves to an area with otherwise mediocre food & cooking talent.

His pizzas are $$ but they are delicious! You can taste the love and quality of ingredients. The dough is perfectly charred in all the right spots. The “White Pie” if you see it on the menu as a special, I beg you to order it. Buffalo mozzarella, mash potatoes, Carmelized onions, bacon and sausage crumbles.

Wow. Enough for 1 solo dish to fill you up or to share as an app. The homemade chocolate gelato was creamy and delicious. Really. Get the ice cream! :)

The hospitality here is a reflection of the generous Italian culture. They want to feed you and have you leave happy. Well, I was very happy. The ambience and attention to detail here in its decor is special and should be appreciated as well. Great addition here to an expanding town that will not slow down in terms of expense. The pizza and gelato are worth every dollar tho.

Go for lunch while it’s quiet. Enjoy the garden dining and strike up a conversation with the happy owner. :) See you again in...
