The food was edible - that's the nicest thing I can say. The fish ceviche was one note and I feel like the fish wasn't marinated long enough as it was a bit chewy like it was raw. It needed something like shallots, cilantro, or salt. Don't put the hot sauces offered on it! The tabasco was all vinegar. The other one tasted like soy sauce.
The chicken fajitas were huge chunks - very pale, no flavor. I used the soy hot sauce to make it bearable and it was barely bearable
I would recommend people walking 50 more steps to the soda down the street for better food.
Service was ok. My partner had a calf cramp and needed to get up to discreetly stretch it - so discreetly that I didn't realize he was doing anything other than standing up and leaning against the chair. Mind you the restaurant had maybe 6 people in it. A server came over to ask if he was ok but in a way that I thought we were going to be asked to leave. I'm hoping his concern was lost in...
Read moreWe were here two years ago and were looking forward to visiting.. Midday, we ordered an imperial and a piña en aqua. As also a quesadilla and salad. After a small while they came to tell us they do not have everything for the salad so I looked for something different and found something, but asking while serving the quesadilla, we decided to share which was really delicious.
After trying to have a good dinner at a soda, which was a flop, we decided to try it again for a drink and one or two bocas. Ron con coca - unfortunately there was Pepsi liegt she could offer. No Coke or normal Pepsi.. okay, then an imperial - well there was none, just Silver or Pilsen...
Okay next try - a soup - they did not have. We then, still in a good mood, ordered patacones which were served to the neighbor table and looked very good! After a few minutes however she came back telling us unfortunately those were the last ones they had... we then payed and left quite...
Read moreWe ate at Los Delfines on our third night in Puerto Jimenez. This was after having a few amazing meals at the seafood restaurants just down the street. The cocktails at Delfines were ok, but the food was 1/4 the QUALITY for TWICE the PRICE as the other restaurants just a short walk away. My Mahi Mahi was extremely over cooked and very chewy, there was a small portion of salad and a few plantain chips. 2 meals and 2 drinks cost $70USD which was an insane price for what we got considering the incredible meals we had been enjoying at both Marbella and Marisqueria down the road. Sure....grab a few cocktails on the beach at Delfines because they have a good locale....but I wouldnt bother spending that kind of money on the food when there's waaaay better food close by at waaaay...
