It seems something always have to be wrong with this place. According to the previous reviews, it is a “hit and miss” restaurant, you could either have great or bad experience. I wanted to eat some shrimps, and since I was disappointed in Soda Marbella, I took my chances with this place. I ordered rice with jumbo shrimps (arroz con camarones grande), and a caiprinia. Both of them were excellent. The cocktail was nice, the dish was huge, with plenty of shrimps. They even made me chiliguaro on request. At this point I could not care less that my dish was 5500 CRC, everything was fine. I asked for the check. It took me 3 rounds to get the normal (real) price for what I have ordered. The waiters were attentive previosly, spoke English, they even warned me that I can only pay with cash. Therefore I assume they were just simply clumsy and didn’t try to rip me off. First they brought me another table’s check, with like the double the price what I have ordered. The second time they wrote I ordered a pitcher of shots, although I ordered just one piece. So finally, for the third time the bill was correct. It was kind of disappointing to end a good experience like this. Be sure to remember what you have ordered, and keep in mind the numbers or have the menu with you. The food was good, let’s hope this was a one...

Marisquería Corcovado delivered an unforgettable dining experience that checked all the right boxes. The seafood was simply outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and expertly prepared. Each bite of the grilled fish and Octoy was a testament to the chef’s skill and the quality of the ingredients.
The Greek salad was equally impressive, bursting with vibrant, crisp vegetables and the perfect balance of tangy feta and olive oil. It was a refreshing complement to the rich seafood flavors and showcased the restaurant’s commitment to authentic, high-quality dishes.
What truly elevated the experience, however, were the incredible views. The setting was stunning, offering a breathtaking panorama that made the meal even more memorable. Whether you’re dining at sunset or under a canopy of stars, the atmosphere is simply magical.
The service was another highlight. The staff were warm, friendly, and attentive without being intrusive. They made us feel welcomed and ensured that everything was perfect throughout our meal.
If you’re looking for a place that combines exceptional food, a picturesque setting, and outstanding service, Marisquería Corcovado is a must-visit. I can’t...
Read moreThe food is indeed excellent. I believe this place and much of Puerto Jimenez has made a huge mistake in marketing strategy overall. The place when we have been here is way overwhelmed with loud gringos in Covid ignoring all mask protocols. American tourists one after another came in today loudly all visits maskless and the host of the group maskless flitted around from table to table all over the restaurant and not once did the employees say a single word to them despite them standing a foot from us often. The music is New York club, little is made of any attempt at all for the main restaurant in town to show them real tico culture. These privileged folks visiting will only promote the type tourists that will keep this area impoverished because the visitors from the states will go back bragging about a backwater succumbing to their desire to feel cultured slumming it. This whole place is far more beautiful and the people awesome to put up...
