Soda Marbella — Restaurant in Puerto Jiménez

Our experience was very deceiving. First of all, we arrived at around 7pm and they had no more seafood left (only the filet fishes). Lack of staff so we waited a long time to get served. The waitress made a mistake while ordering and the wrong plate came, I told her about it and she didn't apologize saying that it was my mistake. Our dishes came out in a 20min interval so I was halfway done when my boyfriend got his dish. On top of that, my dish came semi-cold. My fries were room temperature and the fish fungers as well.

I ordered rice with shrimp (arroz con camarones). The portion was huge, I was hungry but almost could not finish it. But the problem was, that it mainly consisted of rice and plantain, there were like 4-5 pieces of small shrimps on the plate, which is a scam. The waiter did not speak any English. Marbellas was recommended to us by our taxi driver, and it didn't disappoint. The food was fresh and tasty, portion sizes were fantastic, the menu had great selection, and prices were competitive with similar restaurants.
