Manglamar — Restaurant in Puntarenas

While there are better restaurants in Puntarenas, Manglamar is a good choice. It is located about a block from the beach with a view of the ocean (if you can get one of the tables by the street corner) and across the street from the swimming pool complex. Found it by chance waiting for a later ferry and what a little gem! best food and service we have had in Costa Rica. The ceviche was so fresh, tuna tartare (with soy and Miel) a delight. The main course seafood pasta was packed with fresh & varied seafood and huge portion. Chicken fajita also huge and great. Superb value for money....

This restaurant is close by the Puntarenas Lighthouse. You do not get the view of the lighthouse from the resturant but you can see the sea even though it is not next to the water.
