The waiter made a mistake of dropping glasses filled with red wine. Splashing all over our clothes. They apologized profusely. My reply was we are human and mistakes happen. We lived close by and told them we would return after we changed. We did so because we had already ordered and I was hungry. Big mistake the steaks were well done on the outside and rare in the middle. We ordered well done. I left my number and email for the owner after we paid and left. Expecting a reply however what we received that night was bad food and service. The food was not prepared as ordered. If the owner did receive the message then that person also failed. I've owned and operated a restaurant. From experience food preparation as a matter of health is extremely important. It could taste good and be a health hazard at the same time. Second to that is time and our experience. Lastly my clothes were damaged but not ruined. The new clothes my friend was wearing...

One of the best and most reasonably priced upscale steakhouses in the San Pedro core of San Jose, Costa Rica. After half a dozen visits to this place, my go to cut is the outside skirt steak. The steak tartare is excellent as well, and be sure to try the sweetbreads while you're here.

Like all upscale places in San Jose, there is a very quiet and dignified atmosphere, with an excellent wine selection and lavish decor. The prices, however are very tourist friendly and won't set you back a huge portion of your travel budget.

Great steakhouse! Service was amazing. Loved the ambiance and setup. We started with the grilled potatoes which were basically waffle fries. Nothing extraordinary about them but dipped in the basil garlic sauce, that were tasty. I had a New York strip that was cooked medium and it was delicious. Baked potato and salad for sides worked well. For dessert I had a Nutella crepe and ice cream and that was delicious as well! I’m looking forward to returning and trying more items...
