Yooo, my recent experience at Bamboo Sushi in Tamarindo, Costa Rica, was elevated to an extraordinary level, thanks mostly to Henry. From the moment we were seated, Henry greeted us with an infectious smile and an enthusiasm that set the tone for the evening.

Henry's knowledge of the menu was impressive. He expertly guided us through the extensive sushi selections, offering personalized recommendations that were spot on.

What truly set Henry apart was his attention to detail and genuine care for our dining experience. It was my dad’s friend’s anniversary and he took very good of us and will forever leave me with an impactful memory. He checked in at just the right moments each and every time, ensuring our drinks were always refreshed and our preferences were met. His timing was impeccable, never making us feel rushed, yet our dishes arrived with precision.

Henry's professionalism and warm personality made us feel more like honored guests than customers.

It's rare to find someone who not only excels in their role but also adds a personal touch that turns a meal into a memorable event. Henry did just that. His exceptional service greatly contributed to our wonderful evening at Bamboo Sushi. We left with full bellies, great memories, and the intention to return, hoping to be greeted once again by Henry's fantastic hospitality.

So, my lovely wife and I, in our epic quest for dining excellence, ventured into the mystical realm of Tamarindo. Whispers of the Bamboo Sushi Club had reached our ears, promising a dining experience to rival the legends themselves.

As we traversed the restaurant's depths, we stumbled upon a secret lair of gastronomic wonders, concealed from mere mortals. The staff, with their infectious grins, ushered us to our thrones, where our culinary journey was about to take flight. And then, in a cinematic twist, our guide to the world of flavor, the one and only Mauricio, arrived.

Oh, how he regaled us with tales of their splendid menu, as if he were the bard of sushi himself! But we, being the daring adventurers that we are, decided to let Mauricio work his magic. And magic it was, for he conjured forth from the depths of the kitchen some astonishing specials that left us utterly spellbound.

Needless to say, Mauricio and the Bamboo Sushi Club proved to be the heroes of our epic quest for delectable sustenance. We raise our goblets of soy sauce in salute and wholeheartedly recommend this establishment to any fellow wanderers seeking warm and jovial service, accompanied by sushi that could rival the treasures of the seven seas.

After a day of scuba diving, I was craving delicious food and drink. I remember a post about the Bamboo Sushi Club being an unlikely spot wedged between souvenir shops and immediately went inside … the online pics do not lie. The façade of cheap souvenir shops gives way to a place of beauty and tranquility; it was like dining in a zen garden. One of my favorite things to do at a new sushi restaurant is to let the chefs prepare whatever they want; “go crazy, get inventive, surprise me!” I tell them. And boy-oh-boy did they deliver (see pics). I was delighted with every bite or everything they sent to my table. The only thing better than the wonderful food was the intimate service; my server (so sorry I forget her name) was so gracious with her time, sincerity, and attentiveness. At the bar, my new friend Ray took great care of me with amazing drinks and lots of welcomed chatting. And I witnessed them show this same level of care to several other guests; these folks live Pura Vida through their smiles, their food and drink, and the spirit of the Bamboo Sushi Club’s surrounds. I cannot say enough how much I loved this place; literally my only regret was that I waited so long to come here. I wished I’d come in...

We came here after a day at the beach. The sushi was great. There were no problems there. My boyfriend is a picky eater so they adjusted the rolls as he asked. I have to say though, the host was pretty rude. We walked up to the restaurant at around 8:30 and it was a little quiet. There was plenty of open tables and he asked us if we had a reservation and I said no. I couldn't tell if he was joking or not but he proceeded to roll his eyes and then made it seem as if we were lucky to have gotten a table despite not having a reservation. We brushed it off but then, while paying for our meal, we paid cash to our waitress. The host (not our waitress- who was great) came to our table and brought my money back and said they couldn't accept torn bills. I was a little confused looking at the money until I saw the little tear on the bill. It really rubbed me the wrong way because again - he was not nice about it and it was really such a tiny tear. We had came back from the beach and we weren't carrying our cards so I was lucky to have one other bill or else I don't know how we would have paid.
