Our recent visit to Bistro Langosta was a delightful and memorable experience. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted by Steven, the friendly and hospitable host, who set the tone for the warm and inviting atmosphere of the restaurant. The vibe was relaxed and the ambiance made us feel right at home. We started off with the tuna tower, which was a feast for both the eyes and the taste buds. The fresh and bold flavors left us impressed, and the presentation of the dish was stunning. Our main course, the shrimp milk coconut curry, was equally delicious, with perfectly cooked shrimp and a balance of spices that blended beautifully with the creamy sauce. The service at Bistro Langosta was excellent, with the staff being knowledgeable, friendly, and always ready to accommodate our needs. Steven, our host, was attentive and made sure our glasses were always filled and that we were enjoying our meal. The manager Gabriel also stopped by to ask how everything was, showcasing their commitment to customer satisfaction. Overall, our dining experience at Bistro Langosta was fabulous. The combination of delicious food, a great margarita, and exceptional service made for a memorable evening. Topped off by excellent live music. And a welcome from the charming owner who clearly treats his staff like family. What more could you ask for. We would highly recommend BL to anyone looking for a classy and delicious dining experience away from the hustle and bustle of Tamarindo. PART 2… And it was so good we had to come again. Greeted so warmly by all. This time tried the steak preceded by a salad with pear and goats cheese that was described as “the best pear and cheese salad I ever had’ by my other half. Fantastic live music to boot. So talented were they at corralling the crowd that at one point we found ourselves salsaing. However nothing could match the skills of manager Gabriel who proved to eclipse us all on the dance floor. Awesome experience. Thanks again...

If you have a little baby - don't go there. If you want good food - go somewhere else. If you want decent service, you can easily find better one anywhere else. I don't usually leave feedback for restaurant, and now I regret I didn't leave good feedback for decent places. Because now I feel like I just can't go past this. That was the worst experience in 4 visits to Costa Rica so far. Don't ignore the review yet, here the facts list: We didn't get high chair for the baby, because the only one they had was occupied. No excuse for the restaurant in residential neighborhood to have only one. For our choice of house water we were charged with "filtered house water". $4 a bottle. When we asked, we were told that this one is filtered, that's why it's so expensive. I suppose we should have drink unfiltered water to match its cost to every other restaurant in Costa Rica. Food. Calimary dish was adequate. Filet mignon was cut into thin pieces - not a skirt steak, but definitely a newbie trick. Only partially prepared medium rare as requested. Wine served right before the mains, with ~15 minutes wait. No comments. Should I mention that actual selection doesn't match the menu? While waiting for our food, baby became ibored sitting on a lap instead or high chair, so we asked for a piece of bread to make her busy. Then asked second time 10 minutes later. We got bunch of bread only after we got our food. By bunch I mean a dozen of pieces. We were charged for two pita bread orders in the bill. After asking twice for a piece of bread for the baby without high chair. Brilliant. Attitude. It's the worst. They took off their famous filtered water and one (!) pita from the bill, but how it was done was unprofessional. To my genuine surprise with the bill I was taught about water filtering.

Update after owner's reply: Their reply just confirmed unprofessional attitude towards...

By far one of the finest and friendliest restaurants in the Tamarindo area. The food is exquisite and dare I say decadent? Indulge in the what you can, but unfortunately you may never be able to eat the whole menu in one sitting... as much as you'll want to.

Bistro Langosta is truly a slice of heaven, but you'll get so much more than cherubs feeding you grapes on cloud nine, as you might in heaven.

Here, you'll see a comingling of amazingly pairable ingredients combined to create a symphony in your mouth like no other. And yet so unpretentious, so casual, so Tamarindo... you'd never know that such a gem could exist in a surfer's paradise.

Sit at the bar and be greeted by a bartender whose pay grade can easily exceed any therapist you've seen in your entire life. These people TRULY CARE about you not just for you.

Nothing brings people together like good food... food made with a "love thy neighbor" foundation at its core.

Enjoy the joy of great food artistry... no.... bask in it... seize it before life seizes you ...because you deserve it.

It's time and that time is now. Life will get you down if you let it.... but Bistro Langosta's food is how you fight back and keep moving forward in life. Because this restaurant is all about taking that moment with friends to enjoy that which can be taken from you at a blink of an eye if you don't take action to appreciate it today, right now, before it's too late.

Love thy...

Dinner last night was amazing! Our waiter Steven was awesome right from the start and all the way through the service. The smoked old fashions were fantastic…so I have to have more than one. So many items on the menu to choose from so I asked Steven to help me narrow it down. Ceviche starter was very tasty and the main courses of coconut shrimp and seafood risotto top notch 👍 Location was great as well…being away from the downtown created a nice cool vibe. Nothing but good to say about our night there!

Superb! This gem of a restaurant in Langosta is a short walk away from the busy and not-great resto options in Tamarindo. Bistro staff are fantastic. Food is delicious, high quality and beautifully presented. Interesting range of menu options, which made it easy to go there 3 times in 3 days and have totally different, delicious meals. Baba Ganoush, tuna poke bowl (fave), ceviche, sweet and sour chicken, mahi mahi curry. Dinner about $US40 per person with (alcoholic) drinks. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
