aRoma Gelato Experience Novigrad — Restaurant in Grad Novigrad

Usually I do not post bad reviews, but this time it is necessary to do so: The service or the service policy is terrible (at least today evening); We entered a more or less empty shop, checked the ice-creams when waiting until the people in front of us got served... suddenly I noticed that the lady at the cashier desk started to serve people who ran directly to her, bypassing us.. I asked her why is she collecting orders from other people who came later, seeing us standing in front of the ice-cream desk waiting until its our turn... she pin-pointed that the policy is to order and to pay first and to collect the ice-cream afterwards (what was weird, given the people in front of us haven't been served like that... no one is being served in Novigrad like that... anyways). So... I turned around and I did not notice that a long queue has lined up behind us when we have been waiting, and this lady was seriously requesting us to go back.... knowing we have been waiting for our turn (we have been 5 persons... FIVE!!!... one must be blind or ignorant). Guys, I understand that in high season things can get a bit chaotic, but this was a big joke. Work on your service policy, train your people! The process is slow, confusing and very inefficient.

Now other aspects: The ice cream is very good & very creative(!), BUT, in my view, terribly overpriced. Therefore only 4 stars. Don't take the price argument too serious... it is about tastes, so everyone should judge on his own.

The ambient is very nice and represents in a very impressive manner what the company wants to accomplish. 5 stars! Great job done.

BUT THE SERVICE.... GUYS, THE SERVICE IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS - it spoils the whole experience... I left the shop without an ice cream due to ignorance of the stuff... in Novigrad you can have a great ice cream elsewhere as well. The competition is also very good.

Best place for ice cream in Novigrad by far! We decided to try this place after being disappointed by all the other ice cream shops in the area. This store might be a bit more expensive, but I guarantee you it’s definitely worth it. We got multiple flavors and all of them tasted exactly like advertised. The Banana ice cream with chocolate chips was like a mini-banana split with every lick. You can taste the great quality of the ice cream, the scoops were big and it left us all very happy and eager for more. The service was also very good and the server was very patient and helpful. I think this is the only Gelato shop that has the original nice waffle cones. The other shops all have the fake cheap cones. I think this shop is slightly expensive but I must say it is worth it. The staff are friendly and the Gelato is good. The cone is the winner!! There was a long wait in line but it was worth it.
