Lungomare — Restaurant in Grad Novigrad

The Restaurant is really nice located under trees and close to the beach. You can have seaview for lunch\dinner or watch the tennis players. The restaurant was less than half occupied. Most of the people were inside, but we always like to sit outside. There was another couple sitting outside, close to us. The waiter didn't realize us. Even the other couple had nothing to drink/eat, so they had to shout to the waiter inside. He came, they placed a order and the waiter left. Ignoring us. When he brought the drinks to the other table, suddenly he turned around and saw us waving. We quickly got the menu and a new table cloth. Drinks came quickly and also the food. We missed the bread, because it's common, to get bread here. The raznici were good and the Mangold with potatoes also. Ajvar was only a little spoon and I missed the onions. The portion was really small at all, but delicious. My wife had pasta with truffle. She liked it, but the pasta was not she expected. Prices are average. Maybe a little higher than other konobas. Appetizers: Salads with octopus (appetizer) 1/5 (just unseasoned rucola with unseasoned peaces of octopus with some kind of gel on it..)

Main courses: -Fried calamari 4/5 -Chicken salad 3/5 (salad not seasoned and impossible to mix in unpractical bowl, some unidentified peaces in salsad)

Pizzas: -Pizza dough 5/5 (perfect!) -Fruti di mare (seafood) pizza 2/5 (seafood totaly uncooked) -Margherita pizza 4,5/5 (can't go wrong if dough is as good...

The pizza, steaks and fish plates are delicious, but the grilled food in general is hit-or-miss, because the cleaning of the grill does not always seem to work out (food tastes burned, but isn't burned). The waiters can be friendly and professional, but when the place is busy (like in this season) it gets a little chaotic. Expect an hour waiting time for the main course, at least for dinner.
