Prošperin Jelsa — Restaurant in Jelsa

The menu stated they have pizza napoletana. We came, sat down. After about 10 - 15 minutes waiter noticed us and took the order. The back terrace (which is set up for eating) had two more tables full except for ours. Pizzas were served and they were not napolitana style pizzas, Okay, we thought, wouldn’t be the first time. As we were very hungry and believed this is as good as it gets we started eating. Along the way we also noticed that pizza picante didn’t have fresh peppers as described in the menu. We decided to call for the check and expressed our opinion to the waiter who just asked whether we want to pay cash or card. There was no understanding and no apologies....

We came to Prošperin because we liked the cute terrace with big and comfy couches. The stuff were very nice and we came back the next morning. I ordered latte macchiato and I have to say it was the best one in Croatia so far. While we were drinking coffee I was checking the menu and saw that they also have pizzas and some other food. Pizza sounded great and we went there for dinner. As two pizza enthusiasts we agreed that this was the best pizza we ever ate in Croatia. And we really try pizzas everywhere we go.

Fancy place with quality espresso

The place has two terrace: one at the front and the other at the back of the building. Depending on the position of the sun (and the shade) you can choose which you take. During the hot summer mornings the back side of the building provides more plesent shade with a fountain nearby. The service is quite satisfying, the only downside was that the temperature of my espresso wasn't desirably hot enough.
