Did the tour through hvar by car heard by word of mouth this vineyard was the place to visit, I wouldn’t bother I feel sorry for the owner having people like this working for them, we came in and we get you aren’t currently not doing any tastings and offered us to come down and taste a couple, she poured the ends of a table eatings Bottle and didn’t even explain anything to do with the wine except it’s the most popular one. If you’d made a little more effort we would have purchased some wines left feeling pretty disappointed and a wasted journey down ! So no I wouldn’t recommend this place to go there’s plenty of better wine tasting or vineyards to spend your money on. If your going to go into such a depth to make wine so popular I suggest maybe finding staff who have the same passion about the wine your making should have got the name but a small brunette women served us and every question seemed a hassle.

Maybe it’s just an end of season thing where places are slowly starting to shut but surely you wouldn’t want this going on in...

We booked a tasting and tour, or at least what I thought was one while visiting Hvar. When we arrived, no one greeted us in the lobby for 15 minutes, at which point I wandered down to the cellar and found they were filming something for TV. They saw me but continued to ignore us for 10 more minutes until the filming was done. They did not appear to have any record of our booking or even offer any details beyond the normal menu which included pairings. We weren't planning on eating, so just opted for a tasting of 3 wines. This was served in the wonderful wine cellar which is beautiful, but the filming continued at the next table and was incredibly distracting to both us and the staff. They didn't really explain much of the wine and we ended up kind of rushing to leave. We did end up buying a few bottles of wine though as it was so good. I'd recommend for the pairing which seemed like an incredibly romantic option, but for the tasting alone it was not a...

We were a group of 4 people and we shared 2 wine tastings of 4 wines [3 quality + 1 top quality], which they kindly allowed us to do. It costed 100Kunas each (so 200 total for 4 people). We managed to walk in without a reservation for this one but I guess we got the tasting slot as we came before the peak tourist period began.

The quantity was more than enough for all of us to share, and the wine connoisseur explained all the wines very well and I got to learn a lot about the different types of grapes, maturation times and the types of soil.

We didn’t get the option with refreshments (+ 50Kunas), but we still got little plates of food: 1) olive, cheese and tuna paste on a cracker, 2) cheeses with oregano, 3) dark chocolate - which all went appropriately with the wines that we tried.

They were so nice to even throw in two more dessert wines for us to try!

Incredible tasting experience! We did the VIP tasting (8 wines) and were utterly blown away. We were guided through the small facility by our friendly and knowledgeable guide to a tasting room unlike any other: a triclinium-style basement dining room, a faithful recreation of Diocletian's palace. The variety of wine was impressive, even more so given that they work only with locally-grown grapes, most of which are indigenous to the area. The range of weights and flavours this place achieves with the plavac mali grape is seriously impressive! Generous pours to really explore each wine; delicious snack pairings throughout; a complimentary prosek to cap it off... Perfection. Go to Jelsa and go to this winery. You won't regret it!

Visited this Winery for an 1h tasting. The tasting costs 30€ per person and features some snacks (bread, olives, cheese, etc) and 6 rounds of tasting. Starts with a rose, two white wines (one very light, one medium bodied), two red wines (one medium bodied and one barriqued) and finishes with carob and sage brandy. They explain a bit about the history of the winery, a bit about the wine types on Hvar and a bit about different types of soils and wineyard positions on the island. All in all a decent tasting, but not something totally spectacular. Perhaps a bit costly for what they offer.
