We ate a day ago in this restaurant and it is sure that we will NEVER return AGAIN. Me and my family ordered 3 pizzas: Pizza 'Frutti di mare' (cheese, tomato, octopuss, squids, sea shellfs, 1 shrimp and another kind of squids: 'muzgacvci' Pizza With Shrimps Margherita Before we could order the pizzas...we had to wait for the waiter more than 20 minutes; they left us waiting after we already informed the waiter that we took a seat outside... We felt more than wellcome...not! When the pizzas arrived to our table... I started to realise...that it was a lot of ingredients missing on my Frutti di mare pizza. So there was no octopuss, no shrimp, no muzgavci... as promised. The Pizza with shrimps was without shrimps, because they were replaced with gamberi (probably frozen one from the store) - I mean...what the...? I can not say that the pizza, wich was brought to us wasn't tastey, it was...but we know sea food and we can not be tricked... Ofcourse I couldn't keep my mouth shut, so I talked to the waiter and after my preach he just responed with: 'Oh you really told me a lot of things...'. What kind of answer is that? Well also the price was the same, even though we recived our dishes with half of things missing. Well... I said to myself...ok..another restaurant that I will never visit again... but it don't get finished here...cause I had a terrible diggestion issues all evening... thank's a lot... This is my...

Firstly, the complimentary fresh bread, local olive oil and balsamic vinegar combination was the perfect way to start off the meal.

The Croatian cold fish platter, featuring; Tuna, swordfish, anchovies and octopus. All were fresh with a slight pickled taste. The anchovies were notably bold and salty with a soft-fresh texture.

The florentino steak carried a beautiful Smokey, charcoal taste and had a well seared, golden-crust. The fat was well rendered and the steak was cooked mostly medium rare, with some parts being a little overcooked. The steak was seasoned simply with salt, allowing the quality beef and Smokey tastes to lead. On the side, the ajvar was a perfect, authentic accompaniment, with a slightly spicy, yet mostly capsicum-dominant taste.

The ćevapi were tenderly cooked, with soft-oily mince and a medium rare interior. They too had a beautifully smokey-charcoal taste. On the side, the blitva had a soft, warm taste with perfectly cooked spinach...

The place is in a great location and the ambient is excellent. Everything you would like from a small coastal village. Staff are friendly too, however they were not that helpful. My husband ordered beefsteak and then I ordered one of the delicacies: category 1 fresh fish. There was price per kilogram which was totally fine but I did not expect the fish I chose to come as 1.6 kg for one person only. If the staff was customer centric they would have suggested it is too much for one person as they don't offer half portion for example. The food was good quality, but then another person from the staff passed and said oh wow you have the fish only for yourself? This was disappointing experience, they only wanted to sell bigger fish so that the cost is bigger, regardless that it was...

This is a amazing restaurant, I would give five stars however waitress was rude when we walked in however from there is got a whole lot better. A new waiter took us up stairs and took over and recommend what to eat which was amazing. We ordered squid salad for starter to share between two of us and was amazing. For main we order mixed meat and black spaghetti with mixed sea food, both which again was amazing and highly recommend. For mixed meat we didn’t eat pork so waiter replaced it for extra chicken which was nice touch. Also as it was a birthday we got a free dessert which was amazing. Little slow getting the bill but it was understandable as it was busy. Highly recommended if your going to a restaurant in Varboska

My childhood friends whom I haven’t seen in over 40 years own this place. That makes me partial but my U.S.-born and raised daughter asking to come back the next day is the proof. Pašticada with njoki (gnocchi), octopus salad, octopus buzara, blitva with potatoes, gof fish (amberjack), pizza, everything was delicious. They have the locally made prošek dessert wine that’s heavenly. Palačinke (crepes) for dessert. Hats off, one of the best restaurants we ate at in Croatia, for me better than the Michelin starred restaurant in Dubrovnik, but then again, I spent all summers here as a kid so this is my three-star Michelin food heaven 😊. Can’t wait to eat here again during our next visit.
