I recently had the pleasure of dining at Ruzmarin, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience! Specializing in Mediterranean cuisine, this gem truly showcases the best of what the region has to offer.

The food was nothing short of spectacular. Every dish was crafted with real olive oil from local producers on the island of Hvar, adding a rich, authentic flavor to every bite. The mussels were a standout; they were among the most amazing we have ever tasted. Fresh and perfectly seasoned, they were a true delight. The fish, bought daily from local fishermen, was incredibly fresh and cooked to perfection. The commitment to quality and local sourcing was evident in every dish.

The atmosphere was warm and inviting, but what really made our visit exceptional was our waitress, Iva. She was the funniest and most entertaining server we've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Her witty banter and friendly demeanor added an extra layer of enjoyment to our meal, making us feel right at home.

When summer season is over there is problem with finding restaurants in Hvar as many are closed or work limited hours like one I wanted to go. So I was just walking to see what is open before looking online. And found this very nice restaurant which was almost empty but is still working. Service was excellent and I even get complimentary cherry liqueur which was great. They had both fish and meat meals of the day so I enjoyed fish soup and then very large portion of fish with tomato and local mixed salad. Desserts were limited but my nutella pancakes came very fast and I did commented that to my waiter who agreed that in busy season cooks do not have time to prepare them and you need to wait a lot for them if you really insist.
