Very nice setting, however venue is let down by incredibly rude staff and mediocre food. It was not all bad, there were some dishes cooked ok, and our waiter was sympathetic, however, I do not expect members of my party to be belittled and spoken to as rudely as they were regardless of circumstances which no doubt they will try to justify in their response here if they choose to do so. They were also incredibly rude in their messages to our party leader. Even though it was empty, they were angry because we showed up without a reservation. Full disclosure, we were booked for the night before, but were unable to attend due to running late from a tour. It's a shame as the spot has great potential, but that will be hard to realise if your chef can't even get a simple steak right and if the staff make it's customers feel unwelcome. You are not doing us a favour by allowing us to dine with you, when your restaurant is empty especially, it is your privilege to entertain your clients... act accordingly and understand the customer is always right. Read moreI went to this place during my stay, shortly after it opened. Antonio, the owner, who spent 16 years in Germany, learning all the trade secrets of cocktail making, is an exemplary host and I'd argue one of the best I have ever encountered.
This place is about good drinks and relaxing. The food is also ridiculously good and I was served of the best steaks I have ever eaten.
You'll find chillout music playing in the background, while the waitresses diligently provide service. The prices are reasonable but the quality of drink is better than other places, including hotels.
Antonio really comes into his own when it comes to cocktails. They are simply the best! I tired new and old mixes including a shot of something that tasted of Apple Strudel and another of tiramisu. Awesome stuff!!
Sure he has beer but that's not the best chouce. There are non alcoholic (virgin) cocktails too!
I wish Antonio and his staff all the best luck in the world, with...
Read moreI had the bagel with smoked salmon and avocado. The bagel must have been left over from days before. It was so dry I had to give up eating it after a couple of bites. It was solid. I also thought they'd forgotten the avocado, but did find the smallest pieces in among the cucumber. I ended up just eating the filling. When the waitress cleared the plates and I told her how bad it was, she didn't say anything. She then mentioned a tip when we were paying and I repeated my complaint, and got a mumbled apology. On reflection I should have complained immediately and insisted on a replacement or asked for a reduction. The cost for 2 breakfasts, coffee and orange juice came to €39.50. Thankfully, for future days we found a much better restaurants in the area that offered nice food and way...
