Francesco Restaurant — Restaurant in Općina Sukošan

It's wintertime !! The Dalmatian coast is sleepy, very sleepy now. All the others "wait" selling lobster during the season....everything is closed and not very friendly towards tourists.... Franceso is the only one open now, wirh rooms and hospitality. Don't take me wrong, but Croatia (not Croatians) sold their souls to money and politics.... well, the "tourists" made this change, like in italy, France, Spain.... and over seas before... who are they? Germans, Austrians, Italians, Swiss, Dutch, French....(and all others) imposing their way of life, their menues and traditions.... Sad but true !!!! Should we not go ALL back a little bit and being thankful for the beauty each single place on this planet has for us? Just be humble and appreciate what is and enjoy the local things, without judging, pretending and asking. For me, travelling is a way to know and understand other places. I know that there are not many agreeing with me... that's why humanity is going upside down. Anyway.... Thank you for...

I don't understand all the positive reviews. My whole experience was a disaster.

I ordered a squid. It took them 45min to bring it to the table. It tasted salty af, the tentacles were burnt, on the front and on the back. the consistency was good but it was no way on earth it was worth waiting 45min for.

My frites came 20min after my main dish. Like cmon. Who eats their frite when it arrives so much later than the main dish. I instantly returned it.

The vegetables that came with the squid was horrible. Bland, mushy, tastes like baby food. You cannot serve this after I've waited 45min.

The only delicious thing was the fish soup, and it was a little too salty too.

A complete disaster 1/10 the only star for the fish soup. Absolutely do not recommend...

If you love seafood, try Francesco. Everything we ordered was delicious.

A cold starter with tuna tartar, sea bass carpaccio and white fish pate, amazing.

Shrimps with home made pasta is probably one of the best plates I’ve ever eaten in a restaurant.

Risotto with shrimps for my wife, fantastic. She was very happy, ate it all even when she couldn’t finish it.

My son had spaghetti with tomato sauce, which he really enjoyed.

We ate extremely good. I completely recommended Francesco if you are around.
