If you have enough of the all inclusive buffet in your hotel this one is the right place to go. Staff very friendly and professional. If you think to find Italy in Cuba you wrong, but it's good enough to enjoy a pizza also lobster for 20 euro it's a very good deal. I asked to swap one topping in a pizza chorizo instead ham and I've been charge for the cheapest pizza plus two extra, difference was irrivelant couple of pence but the manager decided to charge in this way even If his staff suggest to don't do it because was meat for meat and doesn't was a proper extra topping anyway a part this small unfair charge the big problem in this place was the mosquitos and something need to be done If you serve food outside, it's very unpleasent be the main course...

On our first trip to Cuba a couple of weeks ago we were surprised that we couldn't find a good meal in Havana - even at the paladar (family homes serving food but many are actually like restaurants) and restaurant, both recommended by AirB&B hosts and locals. And it wasn't cheap. What a delightful surprise it was to find Don Alex. Just as I was beginning to despair with the food in Cuba I found this hidden gem! The food was sensational to the taste buds. For starters I had the bruschetta which melted in my mouth giving me garlic sensations on soft bread. For mains I had the ham lasagna which as close to authentic you can get. For desert I had the lemon pie and to drink make sure you get the coco loco. It’s infused with banana which gives it a local twist. Service was tremendous and a great ambiance.
