El Melaito — Restaurant in Cárdenas

This is the best restaurant in Varadero. Lovely outdoor tables, cool and breezy area. One of the restaurants with the best prices and quality! We came to eat here every day of our vacation after trying other unfortunately disappointing places that look like "tourist traps". At el Melaito the staff is very friendly, genuine and authentic. Lovely place to eat under the canopy of the thatched roof. Friendly staff, good music in the daytime (not always music), great prices and good food and drinks. Yes they can run out of certain food items but there is always another good choice. I hope to go back to Cuba and eat here again someday in...

Esperienza negativa!!!! Pessima accoglienza!!! Alle 19:30 p.m. mi sono avvicinato con la mia compagna per mangiare qualcosa. (Il locale era vuoto di clienti e il personale era seduto parlando tra di loro). A quel punto mi chiesero cosa volevo mangiare e io risposi che volevo mangiare l’aragosta. A quel punto i proprietari si sono guardati in faccia con un comportamento sospetto e si sono rivolti a me dicendomi che avevano appena finito il turno e che non era possibile . Ho dedotto che non volevano farmi mangiare l’aragosta perché costava 1000 cup. Non mi hanno neanche offerto altro per cercare di farmi consumare o accomodarmi a un loro tavolo.
