Food was fine — I expected more, for some reason; maybe I’ve just been craving pasta these days. Not bad, but not remarkable either.
Portions aren’t too big, even if you get the big one. Flavour is okay (I got pesto and sun dried tomatoes, but it’s more of a creamy base with some pesto in it), it’s genuine Parmesan taken out a huge wheel sitting on the counter. The guy at the cash register gave me an extremely expensive suggestion that combined two sauces and extra Parmesan and I had to reiterate I was looking for something that wouldn’t blow my budget out of the water, so if you’re not looking to pay 300tl in a small bowl of pasta, beware!
It’s a bit weird that when you come in, you see the less-than-pretty place where they make the orders, but the seating area is quite lovely with warm light. However, I didn’t expect to be served in a paper box with a bamboo disposable fork and a single napkin, so that subtracted from the overall experience. Also, I ordered a water and was charged for it, but it never came, and I only realised this after I left the restaurant, so keep an eye out.
Several vegetarian options, including the pesto and dried tomatoes (that I got), mushroom and caramelized onions, Parmesan and truffle oil… there’s only one pasta shape, which is tagliatelle, but that wasn’t a problem for me.
All in all, no notes. If you’re after the texture of fresh pasta, go for it — if you only get one sauce and no extras, your wallet won’t suffer much. I personally will not come back unless I’m in the area and there’s nothing else to eat, as it was a rather boring meal, but different strokes for different folks. By all means, feel free to...
A small corner of pasta in the center of the old city👍) A cafe where they make pasta on their own, just before serving it is rolled out, cut and boiled. And then they interfere with it in a huge head of cheese so that the taste is cheese-creamy. Two options for servings: small and larger + toppings for pasta to choose from. We took chicken with peppers and a place with tomatoes. It was delicious, and the children are also interested in the process) the cafe is very small, two-story. Minimalistic interior, open kitchen, clean, simple. There is a great place by the window, overlooking the street) I liked everything, but I would like the pasta a little thinner and the drinks more varied. Served in a cardboard box with a bamboo fork, it is convenient to take away. They accept cards, parking is difficult (it’s not nearby, it’s better on foot), there are...
Read moreAuthentic italian pasta, I recommend to visit if you have mood for some international cousine. The pasta is fresh, made at the restaurant - there are three types to choose from and then a person can choose different ingredients on top. We paid between 6 - 8 euros for portion. There is sitting area inside and a toilet too. You can also sit outside at the café and have some drinks there while you eat the pasta from La Casa De Pasta. I didn't manage to take photos of the food because we were so hungry we ate it right away (and it...
