Vela Yachting LTD — Attraction in Girne Belediyesi

We had a fantastic day with Vela Yachting on a private sailing trip for our family of 10. We chose the 11am–5pm tour, and everything ran smoothly from start to finish. The boat is beautiful—stylish, comfortable, and clearly well cared for—which really added to the overall experience.

What stood out most were our hosts, Captain Serhat and his mother Esen. They were warm, friendly, and made us feel genuinely welcome on board. The food was a real highlight—Esen prepared an incredible meze lunch, all homemade and fresh. Honestly, it was the best meal we had during our entire stay, better than anything we had in restaurants.

This boat day ended up being everyone’s favourite day of the trip—a perfect mix of great food, beautiful views, and warm hospitality. We’d definitely recommend Vela Yachting to anyone looking for a relaxed, personal sailing experience. We’ll absolutely book with them again next time...

A truly unforgettable experience. The melange of food was breathtaking and from our perspective it was as good as anywhere we've eaten. Serhat the skipper was an exceptional host who had an extensive knowledge of Turk Cypriot history. I enjoyed our discussion during lunch which was both interesting and educational. The absolute highlight was Serhat's beautiful mother. Her skill and ability in cooking traditional Turkish food is unmatched. Every dish had it's own unique taste and our party of 6 each had their own favourite. We stopped at 2 different spots to swim and I snorkled on both occasions in clear turquoise water. Me and my mother went on the boat trip today and I have to say I have never been so impressed! The captain and his mum whom run the boat trip are the most lovely and thoughtful people. It feels like your being welcomed home! The boat has loads of space and unlike all the other boats only allows a certain amount of people to go on the trip at one time leaving you with plenty of space to roam. The food is absolutely delicious and there is plenty of it. Living here in the past I have been on many boat trips but this is by far the best! And the only one I will be going with from now on. Not just that the only one where the captain informs you of safety measures and ensures the safety of everyone aboard. The boat trip was relaxing and ideal for a chilled day.
