Gomşu Restaurant — Restaurant in Lefkoşa Türk Belediyesi

We grabbed lunch here, and again another great restaurant offering amazing Turkish Cypriot food. We ordered the Ali Nazik Kebab and Lamb chops, which as always comes with great meze and salads.

Firstly the meze and salad were so fresh and tasty but we know this is because of the locally sourced produce. The fresh taste continues with the bread, which and fluffy, yet perfectly light and filling at the same time. However the show stoppers were our mains which had supreme flavours, and the lamb was cooked to perfecting being soft when chewed.

I loved this restaurant as it was so chilled, and the staff were extremely friendly which made the visit worth while. Though we sat outside, I also loved the decor indoors, where part of the entertainment is the window into the kitchen so you can see where the magic happens in the kitchen and watch as the chefs grill over...

25 Haziran 2021 tarihinde öğle yemeğini yemek için Lefkoşa,Yenişehirde eski Binbir Çeşit'e yakın olan Gomşu Restoranta ilk kez gittim. Menüden sadece 2 adet lahmacun sipariş ettim. Çorba da sipariş edecektim fakat menüde çorba olduğu yazmasına rağmen çorbaları hazır değilmiş. Kısa süre sonra garson masaya küçük bir tabakta biraz maydanoz, yarım dilimlenmiş domates ve yanında turşu biber getirdi. Herhangi bir içecek sipariş etmediğim halde garson 1 adet küçük cam şişede suyun kapağını açtı ve şarap bardağına doldurdu. Herhangi bir ücreti olmadığını düşünerek bardağımdaki suyu içtim. Gelen hesapta tek lahmacun 12 Tl, şise su ise 3 TL yazıyordu . Yemeği yedikten sonra hesabı daha ödemeden garson çay, kahve hatta dondurma getirebileceğini söyledi. Ben de isteğim dışında suyu bardağıma doldurup benden para almak için çakallığa yatan bir işletmeden kahve, çay veya dondurma yemek istemedim . Çünkü hesabı şişirmek için yapmış da olabilirdi. Sonuç olarak benden 2 lahmacun ve 1 cam şişe suya 30 Tl aldılar(12+12+3 = 27, 30-27=3). Benden fazladan aldıkları 3 TL'nin ne olduğunu anlayamadım. Ama helal etmiyorum . Kesinlikle de bir daha gitmem. Gidilmesini de tavsiye etmem . Siz de gitmeyin. Kesinlikle elit, entellektüel, zengin sofrası değil. Menüde fiyatların yüksek olması sorun değildir fakat bu tarzda basit oyunlarla müşteriden para koparmaya...

Kefir was very nice.

Meat, I ordered lamb on bread, it was okay, but too many fat only pieces, I'd say 1/3 were fat cubes only which I was not expecting to see at all...

A nice place but not a place I'd go for the second time.

17€ for 1 dish and a glass of kefir... Not sure it...
