Petroktisto Fish Restaurant — Restaurant in Mesa Geitonia

We had a very unfortunate experience at this restaurant. We hadn't made a reservation when we decided to try it. The only table at first available was inside with no air conditioning. We decided to make a reservation in the future and try the restaurant another time. It was hot. As we started to leave, the manager or owner I think named Julia, came out and yelled at the waitress to seat us at an unoccupied table outside. So, we stayed. The food was good although it took an extra 20 minutes or so after my husband was served, for me to be served. It was busy so we over looked this at the time. As we finished the meal, the manager/owner came to us and asked if we were ready for the bill because they needed the table for other patrons indicating it was time for us to leave. This changed the whole feeling of our dinner essentially ruining it. This is the first time in the 30 plus years I have lived in Cyprus, I have essentially been asked to vacate a restaurant as I was finishing, It's ironic since it took longer for me to finally get my meal than it did for me to actually eat it and leave. I think the manager was greedy and despite knowing she had a pending reservation for our table, decided to risk it hoping we would finish before the other customers arrived. We essentially had a time limit on the table and didn't know it until the end. Anyway, we will never return and I will tell everyone I know not to eat at this restaurant. Great place! Great service! Highly recommended! You know it's a good place because locals eat there too!

Despite being short staffed due to ill waiter, very on time punctual service , and accommodating staff. They were busy and had lots of guests and despite that made us feel like the service was personalised for us. (Lactose free friendly) considerate to my dietary needs.

I was 15mins late they adjusted my reservation no questions asked. Kind friendly. Very fresh food and big portions. I loved the wine octopus ! Our group loved the butter garlic shrimp, an assortment if dips and salads, whole fresh fish, real sliced potatoes roasted, the rustic village bread sliced and toasted over hot grill, whitebait, and panacota for dessert 🍨If we had more space we would have ordered more so good!
