TRATA — Restaurant in Limassol Municipality

I had my dinner at Trata on 26/09/2023. I called Trata restaurant before I booked, to ask for a specific dish if they can made it for me and they answered "yes" and I repeated my request at the table. When they serve me I told them that is not what I ordered and I questioned the reason why they told me that they could it. The servant stated that he does not know the reason why and that was his second job which I find it a ridiculous and unprofessional answer. The cook came and check on me from a distance, he never apologised or offered to make the dish he promised. I saw him laughing and making comments about me. When I paid the bill I noticed that they offered watermelon and sweets to all other customers except me. This is the worst experience that I had in Cyprus. I felt disgusted of how they treated me and that refused to acknowledged...

We ordered ‘fresh fish’ from this restaurant. The owner insured us that the fish was very fresh. When the fish was grilled and arrived to the table, it smelled rotten. There was a lot of lemon added to the dish so the smell can disappear, which didn’t happen as the dish smelled like poo. We told this to the manager and he was not agreeing with us and still keep telling that the fish is fresh. He kept telling us that we don’t know how Cyprus fish taste like, when we actually live in Cyprus and know how fresh fish tastes like. The manager didnt deduct this fish from our bill. The staff is friendly and the fish is good, but it feels like they aren't running this restaurant to its full potential. It could've been a much better experience but unfortunately it wasn't. The restaurant looks old and dusty, the AC is barely working. I ordered a Greek salad and received a wanna-be greek salad in an aluminium bowl. For 10€ nonetheless. I expected more from a dining experience. But as I mentioned earlier, the staff is friendly and the fish is tasty and fresh so no complaints there. But considering the touristy prices this restaurant is charging, I hope they can bring their A game...
