My conscience won't allow this restaurant to get away with the below standard service that I got when i had taken my mum there for her birthday on December. It was meant to be a special occasion and I expected to receive the same high quality service as I've seen the staff and management offer other diners on 3 different occasions. Firstly as the host, i had to get up from my table 4 times and couldnt enjoy my food that evening. My guests were complaining about the food being ice cold. We practically had to starve to wait for the hot food to come. We waited 1 hour between the dips/salads and hot food!! When I enquired why the food was still not coming a staff member said our table was on standby because i had initially asked for 15mins to wait for some people to arrive and they just left our table alone for 1 hour. They apologized for none of this. I had to remind them 4 times to come and check on my guests. The staff was uninterested in being available to help them if they needed drinks or tissues or whatever, they had to wait at least 15mins to get a waiter's attention IF there was even one around us. To make matters worse the IDIOTs thought it was a great idea to bring my mum's birthday cake out without the candles lit. The manager put the candle in front of her on the table and LIT THE SPARKLERS and candles IN HER FACE!! I was shocked. I've never experienced such horrific service and it makes me sad 2 months later to know that I've seen them do MUCH BETTER but for my mum's special day they had to screw up even though i had 13 guests I paid for. I'd like to not think that it's because we looked different to the other guests in the restaurant that night. But either way, im never going there again and i wouldn't recommend it either.. I've had far more pleasant and memorable food and experiences at Sawa so...
Read moreGood food l, just dont go on a Saturday. We sat for 25 minutes without even getting a menu, way understaffed for a nearly full house on a Saturday night. Food was nice, but don't expect to be satisfied only by the meze, you need more items as the meat plates are only 3. The main reason for the low review, is the extremely loud music during the belly dance show. Now, I expect for somewhat loud music to occur during a dance show, however not to the volume we experienced there; speakers were about to literally blow, the baby woke up, and the 5 year old was holding his ears and hurting. We were also annoyed as the volume was simply too loud. When going to complain, the first employee told me they would deal with it: nothing happened. The second, incredulously, told me that theres a belly dance show and I should have been aware of that and that is that. I explained that it was simply too loud, and that the first guy acknowledged it and told me that he would do something, why was his answer different? Eventually I found the manager who lowered the volume somewhat but still kept it at very loud levels. Now, if the baby was of a younger age, such loud volumes can and will cause ear damage. Yes, I do have noise cancelling headphones for babies, and have used them in the past; I didnt think I would need them at a...
Read morewe visited syrian club recently the food was amazing and the prices was fair and good, however I was highly disappointed with the service, particularly from the girl handling reservations. She could neither speak proper English nor Greek, making communication very difficult. We waited at the door for a long time while she struggled to find our reservation. Even after I helped her locate it, she took us to the wrong table. When I tried to ask her for assistance, she responded with irrelevant answers. I even requested that she call someone who could speak English or Greek, but she was careless, mindless, and quite rude. Her behavior was especially frustrating since we had a child with us and she showed no concern for the inconvenience caused however another waitress eventually came and helped us find our table. However, the initial experience with the reservation girl left a bad impression due to her rudeness, lack of attention, and inability to communicate...
