Lost + Found Drinkery — Restaurant in Nicosia

We decided to stop by for a drink since it's close to old town and was named one of top 50 bars in the world. We decided to stop by in the weekday (since that's the only day we were in Nicosia) and the bar was completely empty. We did not mind as it allowed us to sit at the bar and chat it up with the social bartenders. The bartended recommended Dead End for me since I like whiskey drinks. My wife wasn't sure so he did a sampling of 3 different mix drinks. That was a nice touch as it allowed her to try the drinks before deciding. Note, this was easier b/c the speciality cocktail mixes are pre-made allowing them to turn the drinks around quickly. We only stayed for one drink but b/c it was slow, the bartender offered us a tour of the place and of their lab where new cocktails are tested and perfected That was very kind of them and was cool to see behind the scenes. I wish we were staying in Nicosia over the weekend so we could have visited the bar when it was full. Would have been fun to see the vibe and flow.

Another cool factor of the bar is their live IG counter. It keeps track of their current followers and updates real time as well. We tested this by following the bar on our IG and saw that within 10 seconds the counter increased by one. It's smally and silly but we got a chuckle out of it and enjoyed it.

Only odd thing about the place is the parking. there is a parking lot on the same street so you could park there and walk over. But the parking lot feels a bit shady (for someone visiting) as some areas are lit while others are not. However, I am sure it's safe and it's nice to be able to park near by and not have to worry about looking for street parking.

Story time with a good ending: I had ordered something that I never tried and the server knew its something not everyone likes so he asked me if I tried the drink and also asked several times if Im sure id like to order it. He also advised me to get something else bcz its not a drink ppl end up liking. I insisted, knowing I would probably not like it, but wanted to try it anyway. I also have to ask I had no intention of returning the drink after this many warnings (dont want to be an asshole). Ended up disliking the drink ofc, which the server figured, and offered me to order anything else, which I declined. Some time passed and the bartender came :D, and insisted on another drink, bcz "they dont want ppl to go there and end up not having a good time" so I got another drink, an amazing drink btw. If there'd be more stars to service Id still fill the rating. Did not try anything from the kitchen but the kitchen was open till later than expected (midnight) which I respect. Unfortunately another place that is overrated and not worth it.We went there with really high expectations but left severely disappointed. We went for their ramen event and started off with cocktails which were I would say mid at best, I’ve had better cocktails at literal clubs which is crazy to think about. The ramen was completely tasteless and bland and their broth also. The owner of the company that collaborated with the place came up to us and she was very nice we told us our feedback from the first impressions as we hadn’t tasted the ramen yet but after we tried it it was a complete disaster, my friend even threw up after that.
