George Chris Restaurant take away & delivery — Restaurant in Strovolos

We came here hoping for a decent meal, but it was a complete disaster from start to finish. The meat was literally as hard as a rock ,completely inedible. The chicken was bone-dry, as if it had been sitting pre cooked from the morning . We couldn’t finish our food and genuinely struggled to chew it.

When we politely raised this with the Romanian waiter, he was rude and dismissive, shrugging and saying, “What do you want me to do?” not exactly the customer service you’d expect when you’re served food you can’t eat.

It didn’t get any better when it was time to pay. He brought the bill and card machine, then asked with a smirk, “How much should I put for myself?” implying a tip, after such a poor experience and attitude. Unbelievable.

For me this is THE BEST kebab house in Cyprus(ok, may be not in Cyprus, but definitely in Nicosia). They never let me down. Also for meze, this is just great! Their grilled meat, even chicken fillets which usually get dry when grilled, are always juicy and delicious. Also, when I ordered for delivery(a relatively recently introduced service) even though their delivery guy was late, the kebab was still tasty and juicy. And the service, is always top. Excellent all-around grill offerings (especially the crisp souvlaki and their moist, fragrant sheftalia). The portions are pretty huge when you're dining at the restaurant (a bit smaller with takeout) so you might want to scale back your order a bit.
