Good selection on menu. English/European food: portions not large so do have a starter. Turkish good size portions. (I think the 'lamb' kofte or burgers is goat meat which has a wild flavour l don't like but my Turkish friends enjoy it.) Wait is long for food and staff not unfriendly just unresponsive. Sometimes the food is cold (but l understand Turkish people DO NOT LIKE hot food and mother leaves it to cool before calling them to table so they're puzzled by our dislike of cold food.) Very tasty home-baked rolls but sour Turkish butter. Sometimes they have German Elle bit like Lurpak. I normally have fish and chips which is good tasting: 2/3 little squares of white fish cooked in batter (not crispy) served with Pont Neuf style chips and and Petit Pois (pureed) which is lovely reminder of provincial English style. They do chargrilled salmon too which is also lovely. Mixed vegetable accompaniment are frozens but acceptable. If they used cloches then the food might stay hot - they could get them from the Colony Hotel just across the road who own the place! PLEASE get trays gentlemen rather than serve individually and serve the host last especially if the guest(s) are women. If you serve each person individually, first to service is ice cold if you wait for your companion to be served their food first (or finished in my case but with me food is like time - which waits or no man - but l am old and can also can redeem myself by picking up the tab.) Better if all at table are served at the same time. AND PLEASE SERVE THE DRINKS FIRST. This makes good business sense too because on hot days people have to quench a thirst and you may get 2 drink orders that way! Coffee in a modern mug. (If they rinse the mug first in hot water then the coffe will be hot or warm when it arrives at the table.) Dress: smart casual. There is normally an exhibition downstairs. In London you would visit a Gallery then eat but in this instance order your food first then have a scout round. The exhibits by The House Gallery are top. Their Gallery installation selections are mostly conceptual works by both classical and post modernists. l have seen Rodin sculptures (l never knew some of these emotive pieces existed l'd only seen the thinker and the lovers priorly) flown in from France. At another here l saw an amazing collection of motorbikes - unsure if that's the correct term, because they were themselves like tactile works of art ALL in mint condition: from classic Harley D's to Norton C's and a few Italian Vespas...
Read moreThe food is very tasty and teh atmosphere is vwry nice and well decorated. The only problem is that although there are so many staff running the whole time, but can’t serve every table on time. So you have to be patient and wait until someone notices you and comes to take the order. You’ll be very lucky if an English speaker could follow your order. But in general the staff is respectful. They have delicate cocktails and smooth tasting Shisha as well. That I truly suggest if you are a shisha fan. You can smoke after your food in balcony. The price is higher than other places but the experience worths the try. My advice is to go earlier than the common time for lunch or dinner so you’ll be served earlier maybe. I went at 18:00 and it was Ok rather than the time I went for lunch. They have a lot of artworks downstairs like an exhibition and lots of art piecea in the decorations around the rooms. Nice elegant choices of colour and lighting. The bread is purely fresh hot and tasty, with their olive oil is mouth watering. 🤤so if you are patient enough, check the...
Read moreThis restaurant that I used to enjoy visiting, turned into a disaster. If you value customer service and your money, i suggest please do not even consider this place as an option. First and foremost, the staff were extremely rude, they were extremely disrespectful. I suggest the owner or the managers to teach the staff members how to be respectful against any sort of customer. On the other hand, the meals are quite expensive for what they offer you. The chicken rolls that i order had a weird smell, and my friends who ordered the chicken hamburger were really upset as the bread of the burger had gone off and kept crumbling into pieces and the chicken in between was so tiny. Overall, you have many different restaurants around the area such as Eziç which is a bit cheaper, has much higher quality, bigger portions and respectful staff members. So I will never ever come back to this place even...
