Bar Escobar — Restaurant in okres Brno-město

What can I say, the burgers are delicious. However, we got really disappointed at them on Saturday 16/3/24 after an event from IQOS was organized and we didn't know anything about it.

The event started halfway our dinner, it was very loud, very messy, there were loud drummers and girls dancing between tables. All of this was recorded by some professional cameraman and photographer. After the "music" part ended, the girls started coming to each table promoting something. It was very disappointing, as we just wanted a relaxing-good food dinner. I would understand if we had been informed in advance about the event, we could have just chosen another restaurant for the night. But there was no such information on FB, IG or even on the web page where we booked the table. Also, we think we got in some shots of the photographer/cameraman, and of course we didn't get to sign any paper in which we agreed to do so. Should I see our faces on pictures or videos of this event, get ready to hear from our lawyers.

It used to be my favourite burger spot, but after tonight, we doubt we'll ever go there again. It's a matter of respect towards your customers - 1. inform them about the event 2. make them sign the paper in which they agree to have pictures...

Amazing place to have a fun evening with friends over drinks. The atmosphere is great, friendly and very welcoming. It's a bit pricier but definitely worth it. As for food, I've tried some of their burgers in the past and they were always great, I really enjoyed their chicken ensalada as well. The only negative of the food is the gluten free bun, since I've had to go GF, I've tried a few GF burgers around the city and the bun here was honestly below average. They also have a nice offer of mixed drinks and from those I've tried so far, I enjoyed all. The service is super friendly, very funny, proactive, and they definitely know how to sell you more drinks than you thought you'd handle (trust me). Especially our server Anička from my last experience just made our night, interacted with us well beyond just her job, even played some music for us as in the later hours as there were fewer guests in the room with us. All in all it's a great place I'll be happy to...

We had a poor experience here.

My husband had his birthday (and the first we celebrate in Brno), I wanted to surprise him and take him somewhere special, and after searching the internet for hours, I thought that Escobar place would be great.

We arrived at 18:30, and the place was pretty empty. We asked the hostess if she had a place for 2, and she said that if we didn’t reserve then there’s no place. We said that it’s a birthday surprise, and she didn’t even care. She just kept on saying, no, you had to reserve. We said we will stay only for an hour, wherever she can place us, but it didn’t help. Then I asked if we can look around (to see the atmosphere and pictures), and the bartender sarcastically asked me “you don’t trust us?”

Anyway, we had to go to another place, and after that incident we probably won’t come back.

We wrote them a private message on Facebook the day after, and to this day (more than a week later) they didn’t...
