We've been there on Thursday afternoon on our final day in Brno for a good food. The restaurant has been recommended to us so we decided to try it, This evening however was not what we expected. There were major problems with our good, paired with a bunch of details that went wrong. For a restaurant of this kind, one of those would be embarrassing, but evenings like ours simply must not happen.
We were seated very quickly and ordered a bunch of starters for the table. While the drinks came pretty fast, we waited more than 50 minutes for our starters (mini burger, prawns and Capaccio). The carpaccio was okay, the burgers and prawns were cold. With cold I do not mean a little bit, they were literally cold like standing around 20-30 minutes after being cooked. This would also explain why it took that long. Small detail #1: nobody was asking how our food is while we ate, only afterwards. Small detail #2: they grabbed some empty plate while some were still eating, interrupting us. The first waitress we told that the entire food was cold, she just commented "oh" and went away. We never saw her again during the evening. The second one removing the rest of the plates asked again, he offered us some free shots as compensation.
Small detail #3: over the entire evening, we were served by more than 6 different persons. So yes we complained already about the cold starters and long wait time, none of the others would know and could react appropriately.
The main course however also was the main problem. The Caesar salad was okay, however my 400g fillet steak (which was quite expensive) was ordered medium-rare. Instead of medium-rare, it was served... I'd probably call it just raw. Like it kissed a hot pan for 20 sec per side, but nothing else. The meat was literally raw, I wouldn't even consider it rare or blue rar (see attached picture). Detail #4: Just in addition, my colleague was served the wrong side dish. it was immediately replaced though, after a short discussion "but you ordered this" (he certainly did not).
Detail #5: Nobody checked on us. At a restaurant like that I would expect that someone checks on us few minutes after main course has been served. It took 15-20 minutes, I ate ~3/4 of my steak (the meat quality was awesome, it had a lot of potential. I somehow like raw meat, so it was not tooo bad). After being confronted he immediately offered to bring a new steak, however after having done 300g of it already, I didn't need another one. They just checked on us way too late. As compensation a free sweet dessert was offered.
Summary: the awesome meat quality is the one additional star I'm giving, the rest of the evening was just plain awful. The restaurant has so much potential and maybe we just had no luck, but something like that simply must not happen in such a restaurant. One or two of these details can happen (even if they shouldn't), but two major problems (cold starters and raw meat) paired with these many details just must not happen, because they ruin a whole evening and we'll probably not go...
Read moreThe restaurant is cluttered with so much interior stuff - and nothing makes sense. Striped wallpaper, random clocks, bull shadows on the wall, colorful mosaik, brown tiles, fish tanks, black chandeliers, ugly cold LED light bulbs and what not..... far from tasteful, fun or relaxing. just an overall mess.
The service was not professonial ( clears plate even though the other person was not finished yet) , no suggestions, no asking if we like it or need something, no real interaction what so ever.
We (3 people) had the gourmet set meal. It sounded ambitious and creative but was mediocre at best. We had to ask for bread - which was not good - it tasted stale.
The tatare was way too salty, the shimps was good, the risotto was truly awful. Had the consistency of baby food, no flavour, no creaminess or richness one would expect from a risotto. Sorbet was ok. The steak was good (which is to be expected in a steakhouse). But the dessert was inedible. They called in chocolate cake but was a dense block of solid chocolate mixed with butter ? Took a small bite and it would just not dissolve in the mouth. None of us could eat it - especially after 4 courses. not a good choice for a dessert for a set meal and definatly not well executed.
During the meal, when not a lot of people were left they turned the music off. That left as with the backround noise of cutlery being cleared and overall kitchen noise..... Felt like a canteen. We asked for the music to be turned back on (a 2000 playlist by the way :-D )
The service staff did not bother asking why we did not eat the dessert, did not clear the plates when we asked for the bill, did not interact with us and did not even great us on the way out. Really poor service and customer interaction.
We would certainly not come back as the overall expercience (athmosphere, food quality and service) was unpleasent and expensive for...

We had high expectations for this steakhouse, especially since it’s ranked number one on TripAdvisor for Brno. Unfortunately, our team-building dinner did not live up to the reputation.
We had a reservation for 12 people, and upon arrival, we were told we would need to wait an hour for our main course due to the restaurant being fully booked — understandable. However, we didn’t receive our starters until after an hour, and our main courses came nearly two hours after we arrived.
To be fair, the food was incredible. The steak was one of the best I’ve ever had — perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and truly worth the wait in terms of taste. If I had to highlight one strong point, it would definitely be the quality of the food.
Unfortunately, the service left much to be desired. Our waitress seemed visibly irritated throughout the evening, especially when dealing with our multilingual group. Her demeanor made us feel more like a burden than guests. We were not asked about drinks for at least 30 minutes, and during our entire stay, it was difficult to get her attention for any follow-up orders. I found myself literally thirsty, waiting a long time before being able to order another drink.
The drinks themselves — both alcoholic and non-alcoholic — were very good, which made the lack of timely service even more frustrating.
While we understand the restaurant was busy, we’ve had better service experiences in similarly crowded venues. If a restaurant chooses to accept large reservations and operate at full capacity, it should ensure it has enough staff to provide at least a basic level of attentive service.
In the end, the poor service overshadowed what could have been a fantastic evening. Sadly, despite the amazing food, we’ll likely look elsewhere for our future...
