Whiskáč na Gorkého — Restaurant in okres Brno-město

Nice bar, classic design inside. The food was surprisingly good. The fish and chips were on the plate with a nice sauce and pee plain, I would have liked more vegetables in there. Oysters were good, nice taste, tartarac was ok, ordinary like everywhere else, nothing spectacular there. Overall the experience is good. They also give you water for free, something unusual here. We also had chips, I don't have a picture of them, they ran out quickly, one thing I will point out here is that it was very wet. I expected it drier. Last but not least, lots of whiskey options, but I'm not a whiskey person so I didn't really enjoy it. The bartender knows...

We have just come back from this bar and I cannot express how much I loved it. The staff were amazing, they told us about any whiskey we chose (and believe me they have A LOT of them). The food was also very good - we had french oysters which were fresh and very light, and three types of tartar, two of which were with whiskey. I also tried their cocktails (one from the paper menu with gin and grapefruit juice, and another - some special cocktail of theirs which is spritz with elderflower) and they were tasty as well. I had another great visit here. Great food, huge drinks selection, willing staff and also nice interior. It can get very crowded and reservations are very much recommended. Beer is non-traditional for Brno, you'll get a Budweiser Budvar 33. But you will come here for great drinks anyways. The food is awesome, you'll never go wrong with a burger, hot dog or beef tartar. I was slightly disappointed with the pork ribs. They are good, soft, but I like stronger marinades. If you don't find a drink of your taste, you can get one personalized.
