I have visited this restaurant several times, mostly ordering beef tartare and flank steak. My first visits left an excellent impression — everything was at a very high level. However, later the quality noticeably declined, as if the kitchen staff had changed. Beef Tartare The first few times — absolutely perfect: properly chopped meat, without excess fibers, with an ideal texture. Later, the presentation looked the same, but in fact it was ground meat rather than hand-chopped, and the texture contained many sinews, which is unacceptable for proper tartare. Both versions were edible in taste, but these unwanted inclusions were very disappointing. Flank Steak Initially — excellent flavor and correct doneness. But on my last visit, although the doneness was correct, the crust was completely ruined: over-dried, with a burnt aftertaste that overwhelmed the flavor of the meat. It was clear the steak was cooked on a pan without a grill, which caused the crust to become dry and unpleasant. When I asked to replace the steak, the waiter told me that “it’s impossible to cook it any other way,” which shows either a misunderstanding of the issue or a lack of competence from the chef. Arguing with a guest and trying to prove them wrong is already a mistake. Caesar Salad Ordered it only once, on my first visit. It was overly salty, and the croutons were soft like regular bread. I refused to eat it or pay for it. Service The female waitresses were polite, friendly, and didn’t argue with me — for that, my thanks to them. The male waiter, however, stubbornly argued and tried to prove his point instead of simply passing my feedback to the chef. In such cases, I expect either an alternative to be offered or an apology, but certainly not to be pressured into eating a dish I didn’t like.
Conclusion: the restaurant is capable of cooking at a high level, but there is no consistency. The first visits were a pleasure, the recent ones — a disappointment. If the kitchen and service maintained the initial quality, I would be a...
Read moreUsed to go there regularly every time visiting Podebrady. Celebrated there several milestones, birthdays ect. Yesterday the staff treated us so rudely , I am never coming back. There was a free table we were denied due to seating order. Saying we couldn't fit there, while next to it was table for 4, two tables put together for 2 people. We would sit next to them and we would fit just fine as always. Me and my daughter on the sofa and my mum opposite to us on the chair. The young waiter made it clear that my mum was too fat for him to sit by the table. She is not fat, she is overweight, but she never ever in her life was told somewhere she can't sit at a table. If your staff thinks you are too good to seat and serve people weighing 85kg, you have an issue. Can't wait for Mamma Cucina to reopen, there your staff still knows...

At this stage I didn't even bother to claim it...Cesar Salad and brownie the day before were okay. The only positive point: Kitchen is opened until 10pm which is late compare...
