As an exchange student, I’m not a good verdict on Czech food and how it should taste. However, I dine at this restaurant/canteen whenever I can (opening hours: weekdays, 8-2pm) I really appreciate that every component of the meal is really good (from the meat, to the mashed potato, and the veggies - cabbage/pickles) and so far I have never left any food behind despite the big portions. Read moreA fast paced and cheap Czech canteen. Reminds me of some those canteens I saw in Hong Kong. You queue up, get food on a tray, queue up more to pay, eat and go.
You are expected to leave as soon as you finish your meal as others are behind you queuing up and seating is limited.
Meals are usually below 100kc, a lemonade drink 0.5 litres is 18kc. Food quality is decent, food is freshly made.

It's good to chceck their website for daily meals. Price is good, you can get quite big portion for 90 Kc. One star down because they don't take cards or mealvoucher cards. You can pay only cash or paper mealvouchers. The queue is often long if you pick the time right around lunch, so I recommend to get the food sooner as they have the lunch dishes...
