Samarkand Restaurant — Restaurant in Prague

Great service from the waiter, from start to finish. Came as a group of 3, two of us ordered the Plov (see photo) having heard that its the national dish of Uzbekistan and read some good previous reviews. One of us ordered veal with boiled dough layers topped with tomatoes and vegetables, sorry no photo!

Neither of the dishes were served as described and my colleague had to pick the tomatoes off the salad to add to her dish as it came with no vegetables or tomatoes!

We raised this at the time of billing and the waiter listened and resolved this quickly. So many thanks for taking action. That is the reason for the 4 star instead of 5. Well done to that young waiter for excellent service, he...

This restaurant has a very unique atmosphere and ambiance. If you are looking for authentic Uzbek food, this is the place to go. I had the Rice Pilaf and Manti, it was absolutely delicious. I also tried the traditional Uzbek salad and it was very refreshing! The Uzbek decorations and colors are truly a sight to see. If you have never tried Uzbek food, I highly recommend Samarkand. We are tourists that visited prague and stumbled online on this gem. Saying that the food is delicious is an understatement. It has so much flavor. The lamb chops were the best ones i have ever eaten, the meat was very tender and melts in your mouth. The service was also very good. The people that work here are very kind. All around 10/10.
