Atami Sushi Restaurant - Århus — Restaurant in Aarhus Municipality

Had booked a table for birthday dinner. Booking request specifically said we need a high chair for my kid and a birthday flag for the table. We were shunned at the back of the hotel in front of toilet. When I said - can’t we have some other table (plenty were free) - we were told they are all booked. No high chair or flag for the table as requested. Then came the order - we had ordered 7 started and got only 6. We informed 2 different waiters that one of them is missing - both said it might come later. After 45 mins of waiting the guy who seated us that we should order it again - it might not come anymore. Same thing happened with sushi - 5 were ordered and 2 weren’t delivered. We were asked to order again. When we told them it’s getting confusing - we do t know if it’s coming or not and we don’t want to order too much food and let it go waste - the guy just shrugged saying it happens sometimes when we are busy!!! I haven’t seen this kind of biased behavior before in Arhus but it felt as we were the “Indian family” being treated separately! Food is good but no excuse to come to this place! Good sushi, great variety and friendly staff. What ruined the experience a bit is not cleaning the table regularly. 5 of us were sitting in a rather small table and the waiter did not clean the table when delivered more food so after a while it wasn’t super nice.
