We tried their seasonal fastelavnsbolle with mango and lime. This was the non-traditional one that was made choux looking pastry (vandbakkelser). I asked about the ingredients and it was made on rice. My husband and I agree there was literally something fishy about it... The taste was mildly unpleasant of fish... I don't understand it myself. There was essence of mango and lime, but this unidenifiable taste.
Anyway, I came into the bakery all excited to try their products for the first time and I was disappointed that the lady in the shop didn't match my enthusiasm. Later in the day I went to lagkagehuset and the girl in there was much friendlier.
