We visited for the "13 course" tasting menu. At arrival the place seems very intriguing so we got excited for our meal. Wine choices are plentiful and well selected. The service started off very well and we felt taken care of up until our 6th course. After the 6th course of bite sized little dishes, which were very good conceptually and execution wise, we get served our last 4 "courses" before the dessert. Cucumber noodles, a bowl of overcooked rice, chicken tenders and 4 pieces of steamed brocoli. While the rest of the experience was very delicate and tasteful this hits you with a slight feeling of disrespect. It feels like the restaurant is reading reviews, and a lot of complaints came from people not being full after their tasting menus, so this dish disguised in 4 courses felt like it should fill us up and send us on our merry way. Not only did this course feel like a punch in the gut, but also the attention from servers seemed to decline. After each course we were asked for feedback to the chefs and after this meal, our plates just got collected and we got served the dessert. Which again was a singular dish in 2 courses, cherry sorbet and nougat mouse. While the whole experience was great up until that point I think it sends guests home with a bad taste in the mouth from the slow decline of quality throughout the whole experience. The price point would be valid if the experience would persist as high quality as it if from start to finish, but sadly it did not. This review is solely how we experienced the restaurant and it should not deter anyone...
Read moreWe chose the "omokase" experience, which was incredibly disappointing. Our meal mainly consisted of cucumbers, which was boring and also felt like very poor value for money. For example, one dish was a cucumber salad and another dish was a courgette (okay not a cucumber, but close enough) salad, one of the snacks came wrapped in cucumber, our accompaniment to the main dish was cucumber etc. you get my point. The main dish, massaman curry, included one (1) overcooked chicken thigh to share between two people, which was supposed to have "crispy" skin, however they had somehow managed to undercook the chicken skin (consitering the dryness of the rest of the meat, this was actually rather impresssive). The only real carbs we got with the meal was a little bit of rice (which was bland), and we definitely didn't feel full (hardly surprising consitering the fact that cucumbers are 96% water). In terms of atmosphere, we were seated in a very dark alcove, close to two other tables of two, which seemed too intimate, especially considering the fact there were many other tables avaliable (also in much brighter and well-lit areas of the restaurant). We waited for quite a while for our courses to come, and the waitress was quite cold and kept staring at me very strangely and basically ignored my boyfriend when speaking to our table?! Overall one of the weirdest restaurant visits I've ever had. We honestly felt like this whole experience was a bit of a scam and would definitely...
Read moreI just had dinner at Keyser social the other night and have to say, that it was an all around great experience. The service was super friendly and professional and even tho I don’t speak Danish, they explained all the dishes in great detail and were really helpful in general. I tried the 10 course set menu and they easily accommodate for vegetarians and vegans, which I was really happy to hear about. The food came out pretty much always at the perfect time and both taste and variety were amazing (same goes to the mocktails I got with my food). Also can’t complain about the amount of food, it was definitely enough to not leave hungry, but you could also finish everything without feeling uncomfortably full. So thank you for an amazing dining experience in a cozy and relaxed atmosphere. I would definitely...
