I'm usually the first one to appreciate any positive side of a place, but this one is underpar on so many points a 1 star is already overrating it. Service staff is friendly, but slow- we had to personally walk in and ask for menues and the bill at the cashier... The interior design is well balanced with vibrant Thai music running in the background, but the facilities lacked handsoap (in corona times!) and the sensors for the tap kindly provided for either no water at all or a friendly splash all over the patron's pants. The food looks good on pictures and the menu is well organised, unfortunately that's as far as this place goes. Tom yum soup, veggie rolls with peanut sauce and beef curry were all probably some of the worst tasting Thai food I've had in my life. Not only were they not authentic, but overly salted, coriander used was probably 50% of the dish and the chilli reminded a kebab mix instead. All of this at a hefty overpriced tag roughly 40% above authentic eateries or 25% for similar modern restaurants. We've been there twice in the past 3 months and can confirm the experience above isn't an isolated incident or unfortunate circumstances. Now for the food. We ordered sweet and sour chicken and chicken fried rice. We also got their seasonal beer and lemonade. Both dishes and drinks are expensive. For the price you pay, it’s like a premium Michelin restaurant which is not, I don’t think their prices are reasonable. It is very high compared to the small portions you’re paying. deres ris retter er nu udemærket, kun bemærket af en lille overpris ift. madkvaliteten og råvarene. men de første 2 gange havde stadig præg af, at kyllingen var virkelig gennemstegt, kød bliver ofte lidt tør af take-away, ift. at spise frisk på restuarenten, men det her var decideret dårlig tilberedning.
men idag var det simpelthen USPISELIGT!!
220 kr for 2 stk. 09A, som på deres billeder ser dejlig balanceret ud mellem fordelingen af nudler, grøntsager og kød.
men som i kan se på de billeder jeg har taget, bestod retten af over 90 % nudler!!! uden at overdrive, næsten tværtimod.
udover den latterlige mængde billige nudler, så tror jeg de havde tabt soya flasken ned i retten, det var kulsort i bunden, og smagte ikke af andet en saltet mel. der var sammenlagt 5 små stykker broccoli i hele retten, som jeg pænt fiskede efter sammen med de petite kyllinger stk. i det store sorte hav af soya og nudler.
hvis jeg havde betalt 30 kr. i et tilbud mod madspild, og var klar over maden kørte på sidste dato, og at konsistensen ikke var helt frisk. ville jeg stadig være utilfreds over denne portion hundemad. jeg har indtaget nok salt for de næste 4 dage på 4 min takket være Workshop Valby.
Vi har altid været fan af at støtte lokal samfundet i indre Valby, og prøve alle de forskellige steder, flere gange, for at danne et realistisk indtryk, og ikke bare ramme en dårlig dag og aldrig komme igen.
men dette sted blev simpelthen nød til at få en dårlig anmeldelse, af sådan en karakter, så andre er advaret om at de ville være bedre stillet ved at slikke vejsalt fra Valby langgade og smide 200 kr i skraldespanden, end at bruge jeres penge på dette gastronomiske amatør køkken.
hvis Thomas Castberg havde kommet forbi, ville han lukke stedet ned, og opgive genopbygnings projektet.
det eneste positive der er at sige om denne oplevelse, er at du begynder at værdsatte ganske alm. madoplevelser derhjemme. når standarden er sat så lavt.
