Service was somewhat friendly, but extremely slow, as it took more than 5 minutes waiting time between each look from the staff - not sure what the point was with that. In fairness, the place was almost at full capacity (which is something like 12-15 guests), but it did not seem crowded nor busy.
The food served could not have taken more than 15 seconds to prepare for each dish, but yet it took at least 15 minutes for some reason to serve: A block of cheddar cheese with some fig compot (or something similar) for 95 DKK, 4 small anchovies with oil and tiny slices of lemon for 85 DKK, and a plate of bagna cauda with a couple of tomatoes and some greens sprinkled on top (130 DKK). Bread had to be purchased on the side (45 DKK for 4 slices - and NO butter included, only olive oil and salt. I could have bought a whole loaf AND a pack of butter for the same price elsewhere). The taste of the food was actually relatively good, but even as starters, these dishes were far too small - especially at that price!
A glass of iced "tea" (or peach sirup, rather?) was also 45 DKK on top. The most expensive dish I tried was a small-to-medium sized "tart" with some salad on top, which was 135 DKK. I wanted to try their meat balls also, but as the price was around 175 DKK, I skipped that - fortunately! Saved the money and went somewhere else afterwards to fill up my hungry stomach - which cost half the price.
I really cannot recommend this place to anyone except wealthy hipsters who just want to hang out at a fashionable place with (what looks like mostly unplayed) vinyl records on the shelves. Food is uninspired, cheap looking, very easy to make - but costs a fortune! Maybe because they used olive oil on everything.
If you go to any given fancy restaurant in Copenhagen, a whole menu with various dishes will usually cost between 4-600 DKK, but at least food in such places will require some level of cookery, look great, taste fantastic, and leave you with a full belly! This place had the same price level, but NONE of the other criteria. Sorry about the negative review, but someone had...

We came to Auren’s Deli for brunch and were really looking forward to it. Unfortunately, one of our sandwiches had a hair in it—which we only noticed after taking a bite. We informed the waiter, who took the sandwich back and brought us a replacement. That part was handled okay.
However, things went downhill when we were checking out. We politely asked if the sandwich could be taken off the bill, considering the hygiene issue. The lady responded with a bad attitude, telling us we had already been “compensated” with a new sandwich—without even offering a basic apology. When we expressed our disappointment, she became defensive and argumentative, then abruptly took the receipt, said “you don’t need to pay anything,” and walked off, as if we were trying to get a free meal.
We left without so much as a goodbye. What could’ve been a simple apology and a gesture of goodwill turned into a very uncomfortable and unprofessional interaction. We won’t...
Read moreThey used to have very good sandwiches for lunch, but the last time we tried them, the quality had decreased dramatically. The focaccia bread was tasty but the filling was disappointing to say the least. Overall, the sandwich tasted like a canteen sandwich, especially due to the mustard covering up all other flavours. The mustard was not listed as an ingredient of the sandwich in the menu. To make things worse, I found a hair in my sandwich. Not at all worth 90 kr. When I came back to share my feedback , the staff didn't apologize nor made any...
