My friend & I came to this place because it was recommended to us. But unfortunately we didn't get a chance to try food due to a very poor service. We checked the website beforehand and found out that you can't make book a table before 12:45 (therefore we didn't!), but there is a nice message on the website promising to make it's best to find a table for everyone. We came at 12, there were 3 free tables, but we weren't allowed to take any of them. The waitress (or hostess?) told us in a pretty rude manner that all tables were booked from 12:45-13 and that they wouldn't have time to feed us. She didn't even ask whether we just wanted to have a drink. She wasn't accomodating or helpful in the slightest, not even polite. She literally said "what do you expect me to do?!". We actually thought that an hour (from 12 to 13) would be enough to have a drink and even a meal (we talk about breakfast menu!). We were shocked by the rudeness with which she treated us. Very...
Read moreMad & Kaffe was my second time trying out Danish style breakfast. Similar to the previous place, they allowed you to pick 3, 5, or 7 dishes. I would say that I am starting to see some similar items being offered at most places (which is pretty understandable, some items are just synonymous with brunch at this point), though it is also nice to see some interesting twists done on basic items. I got the 5 dishes (159DKK): goat cheese tart⭐️, scrambled egg, matcha yogurt⭐️, smoothie bowl, and pistacietella⭐️. Really great, solid brunch as well, though admittedly my favs are the sweet options (that pistachio and hazelnut mousse was amazing!). One thing to note, my friend and I came without reservation during weekday assuming we could just walk in, only to be told that the only empty space was outside. We did get by with heater lamp and blanket but wouldn’t recommend it as the weather gets colder. Definitely try to reserve...
Read moreVery cosy and charming little place. Very professional and fast service, and the waiters were very attentive to our needs. The menu for the brunch is a check list, with the possibility of 3, 5 or 7 small dishes with a good variety among them. I had the bacon, sausage, stirred eggs, bread, salmon, a Danish and half an avocado, all on a plate. With that a cup of coffee and a carrot, ginger, apple juice, at the cost of little more than 200 DKK. VERY reasonable for the quality, service and amount. Could easily have settled for 5 dishes. Not the last time I visit this place! Will definitely recommend it for the brunch.
Have also tried the evening menu, and that was a solid choice as well. Three courses and snacks with wine. Money is well spent on this and highly...
