I have to say I was shocked at how brilliant my experience this evening was at Tacos Locos. This place popped up on HappyCow which is a vegan food finder app, the pictures looked good so I thought me and my friend could go and try it out for ourselves while I'm on holiday.
It was very busy at around 6pm, typical dinner rush, and it seems they are really popular for take out as in the time we waited they also managed to serve many people coming and going for their takeout orders. We couldn't be seated inside as it was full but there was a spare table outside, and as the weather was good we were more than happy.
I ordered 3 of the Vegetarian tacos and my friend ordered the Señor burger. We also got a couple of bowls of tortilla chips on the side. The food came out quicker than I expected considering the amount of people they were serving and the serving staff were friendly and smiley, they explained things well and knew the answers to the couple of questions I had about the food. We were also lucky enough during our meal to be offered some food that someone had ordered and decided not to pick up, so we had a couple of extra tacos free too! I saw this happen another time with a couple of burritos too which is great to know they don't waste food and offer their patrons some nice extras if possible.
The food itself was.. Absolutely delicious. I mean genuinely fantastic. The tacos were hot and tasty, falafel was moist and fluffy with so many fresh ingredients piled high as you can see from my photo. The tortilla chips were doused in beautiful paprika and the guacamole I ordered alongside was creamy and chunky. And our entire meal was so affordable.
Koge is lucky to have this gem, I'd definitely recommend and come back next time...
Read moreIt's a scam, I didn't understand why local authorities don't keep an eye on the management. The food is fine if you get some. The kitchen is totally understaffed. The scam works as follows, the waiter recommends to order all you can eat, if you do that you get your first order. After that nothing, you can order whatever you want, you get a small portion here and there if you wait long enough. It's a pain to write this but the management is knowingly doing this, so they need to be stopped. When I asked if the waiter can check if my nachos order is still coming he came back saying they were out of Chips. After 20 minutes waiting without any more food I decided to pay and leave. While standing at the cash register to pay, multiple nachos orders came by me. Don't think it's just happening to you, it happens all the time to multiple customers. That's a scheme not an accident. There is also a big area outside in the back, so don't think they just have to serve the inside area. When leaving, the sad thing was that many empty desks had plates full of food, that will go to waste. It's like they are trying to serve a two story restaurant from a food truck. It's a scam, at the end the management is just scamming people out of...
Read moreAs a Mexican, I am offended, that they say tacos locos is authentic Mexican food, when it is not true, today I have confirmed it! First of all, STOP with the paprika, it is not part of Mexican food, it is an outrage you use it on everything. Please, clarify that the dishes are inspired by Mexican food and that is not authentic food. The only authentic Mexican "thing" at Tacos Locos was the drink Jarritos! You can imagine how bad the food is, if you have never ever tried real Mexican food, maybe it will be ok for you, nothing to compare to, but if you are Mexican or known the real Mexican food! Save your money and buy the ingredients online. It's gonna be more cheap and authentic. Food at tacos locos is EXPENSIVE with miserable portions, nothing like the pictures on the menu and TONS of papicra.
The tablet you use to place orders is selective and sometimes it sends the order and sometimes it doesn't. We ordered food for the kids twice and it never arrived.
The local have problems with the heating and the bathroom is a mess.
