Hanzō Lyngby — Restaurant in Lyngby-Taarbæk Municipality

Had our first Hanzõ experience at Hanzõ Lyngby, and we absolutely loved it! We started with the crispy tiger prawns and chicks gyoza, and let me tell you—don’t even think about sharing the tiger krakens! They’re so good you’ll want one for yourself.

For mains, we had the Hanzõ red curry and the stir fry with chicken—both were unbeatable! So delicious that we seriously considered ordering a third plate, even though we were starting to feel a little full. If we’d come in starving, we might’ve devoured it all!

Despite being nearly full, we couldn’t leave without trying the banana caramel dessert—and it was to die for. A perfect sweet ending!

The staff was amazing too! The young lady who helped us was super friendly and attentive—sadly, we didn’t catch her name, but it’s thanks to her that we’ll definitely be back. Lucky for us, we live in Lyngby!

I heard the music might be loud, but we barely noticed any music—maybe because it was Thursday night.

We were lucky to be able to book for the pre-opening day and we loved every second of it! The atmosphere in the restaurant is great, love both music and the interior design. For the foods we went for the 10 dishes set and oh my, it has been a journey! The meat was delicious, the sides were a great mix of flavors. Loved the bao and tartar, dessert was amazing. Two things to point out, curry was a little bit too sweet for my preference and I was expecting coriander gin and tonic to be coriander infused. But maybe that’s just me? ;) Lovely staff, we had a great waitress who made sure we are okay and enjoy the dishes....

Visited in May 2024 (second visit to Hanzo Lyngby and 3rd to Hanzo overall). The tasting menu is a good combination of dishes and it contains more than enough food (we did manage to eat everything, but only because the food is really tasty). From the regular menu I would recommend the shrimp toast and any bao, including the ice cream bao dessert.

On both visits, the staff was friendly, service was rather quick and the atmosphere was pleasant. Overall, I would highly recommend the place to anyone who likes Asian food and want a tasty...
